In the previous articles, we learned the basics of using IMAP protocol to handle messages from mailboxes in an e-mail server. That was cool and interesting, but you could take advantage of implementations created by other ones, available in libraries ready to use.

One of the improvements to the IRIS data platform is the ability to write Python code alongside ObjectScript in the same IRIS process. This new feature is called Embedded Python. Embedded Python lets us bring to our ObjectScript code the power of the huge Python ecosystem’s libraries.

Credentials for a Productions are stored as plain text in ^Ens.SecondaryData.Password and exposed as plain text via SQL table Ens_Config.Credentials which is not ideal as only admins should know the credentials.

I can create my own adapter etc... to store and use encrypted passwords but does anyone know if there is a standard way to do this in a Production?

Alternatively, am I missing how to secure this so the production can run and someone can monitor and operate a production without access to the SQL table or global?

I am trying to use the IRIS connection to connect from our LIS to Health Connect (ENSEMBLE) directly.  You can do this in the same namespace using this:

##class(Ens.Director).CreateBusinessService(Ensemble Service Name,.theService)
theService.ProcessInput(TRAN,.response)

I would like to be able to do the same thing across servers using IRIS connection.  I have the following connection:

                set connection = ##class(%Net.DB.DataSource).CreateConnection(host, port, namespace, user, pwd)
                if 'connection.

Following this GitHub we will see how the FIX protocol can be implemented easily using IRIS and Python.

If you don't have much time focus on the Send a Quote before the Order part near the end, as it will, in a matter of minute, tell you how to send a Quote Request followed by an Order Request and show you the result from the server, and that in no more than five clicks.

IRIS-fix-protocol

Implementation of the fix protocol using an IRIS python container for the initiator and a regular python container for the acceptor.

Question Minoru Horita · Jul 20, 2022

I am trying to use EnsLib.SQL.Operation.GenericOperation for retrieving (multiple) rows. But I am looking for a way to handing a StreamContainer returned by the operation, in my business process such as receiving it in the Context object and packing it to a request to call another business operation.

Does anyone have sample code to do this?

Thanks.

3  Created a BP with HL7 Router + Routing Rule + Transformation + Send to Target (BO).

4 . Created BO sending HL7 to file.

i am getting the following error.

Hello, everyone!

InterSystems IRIS has a menu called Interoperability.

It provides mechanisms to easily create system integrations (adapters, record maps, BPMs, data conversions, etc.) so different systems can be easily connected.

A variety of operations can be included in the data relay process, as examples we can cite: to connect systems that are not normally connected, data can be received (or sent) according to the specifications of the destination system. Also, information can be acquired and added from another system before sending the data.

IRIS Megazord

In the first article about IRIS Megazord, Henrique explains what drove us to create such an application. It basic is a composition of these previous project which we did:

But we also started the development of a new feature, called Flow Editor. In this article we are going to know more about it.

IRIS Flow Editor

The aim of this feature is to test a new way to create IRIS Interoperability productions, as Henrique explained in the previous article.

A few months ago, Jose and I were discussing the article Video Smart Data Services (Vision & Demo) from @Amir Samary and during that discussion, we started wondering what kind of feature would be nice to have on a future IRIS solution.

One of the desired features is to have an IRIS iPaaS solution as I questioned here in this comment.

These last months gave me the opportunity to work with different projects and technologies, and put me in touch with applications like Tray.io or Workato, and now I can see how great an IRIS iPaaS solution could be.

Hi, I am glad to announce another submission to OpenExchange and the current contest, the FHIR Pseudonymization Proxy. The FHIR Pseudonymization Proxy adds a transparent pseudonymization layer to any existing FHIR server, enabling clients to perform queries on the FHIR server – which may contain personal identifying information – and receive an on-the-fly pseudonymized version of the data.

The proxying mechanism is realized with the IRIS for Health platform through an interoperability production, BPLs and DTLs, and the FHIR interoperability adapter.

Hi everyone,

I am currently performing a patient merge thorug ADT^40 HL7 messages. In order to do that, I am following this guide which I found on the ducumentation: http://10.41.11.210:57772/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=HESUP_ch_IHE#HESUP_IHE_configuring_registry_PIX
My main issue regards the fact that I can't update the PatientID and the SourcePatientID of the HS_Registry.Document table of the prior patient, wheras, I find only the new anagraphic on the HS_Registry.Patient table.

Hi

I have an a Ens.Request subclass (Invoice) that has a relationship property to another persistent class (InvoiceItems), with properties of its own and the inverse relationship defined referring back to Invoice.

When building a DTL with these classes, the Relationship’s inverse relationship (Invoice, within InvoiceDetails) is displayed.

Can this be hidden ?

thanks

Programmatic Production Access

To Programmatically Edit Productions (interfaces) you can use a combination of the interoperability apis and SQL queries.

Current Namespace

At a high level, it is important to know the namespace and production you are working in at the moment.

// Object script
// The active namespace is stored in this variable
$$$NAMESPACE
// Print namespace
Write $$$NAMESPACE
# Python
import iris
# The active namespace is returned from this method
iris.utils._OriginalNamespace()
# Print namespace
print(iris.utils.

Introduction

Hi Community,

This article is aimed at developers implementing DICOM productions, specifically for cases with third-party endpoints that cannot handle the DIMSE timeout themselves.

For DICOM applications, the DIMSE timeout is a maximum time to wait for the next DICOM request (-RQ) or a response to a request (-RSP), after an association has been established. Unlike the ARTIM (association establishment) and TXTIM (data transfer) timeouts, the DIMSE timeout lives at a higher level than individual PDUs, with the application-level request/response logic.

Hello,

I am working on the new USCDI Requirement to store LOINC Codes/Descriptions for various types of Clinical Notes in the SDA.

According to all of the documentation I had been able to find, in order to store a coded value for Document Type, I have to use Custom Pairs:

#; Code System
        do ..write(cr_"<CustomPairs")
        do ..write(cr_"<NVPair>")
        do ..write(cr_"<Name>DocumentNameCodingStandard</Name>")
