We're pleased to invite all DC members to the InterSystems Global Masters Gamification Platform to get points and prizes for your contribution to the Community, learn with selected content about InterSystems technology, network with your peers and have fun!

▶️  What is Global Masters?

Global Masters is a gamification platform, where you learn technology, complete tech quizzes, watch videos, etc. You will be completing challenges (tasks) related to ISC technology, earning badges & points, and exchanging points for a variety of rewards.

Starting out with ObjectScript, it is really exciting, but it can also feel a little unusual if you're used to other languages. Many beginners trip over the same hurdles, so here are a few "gotchas" you'll want to watch out for. (Also few friendly tips to avoid them)

NAMING THINGS RANDOMLY

We have all been guilty of naming something Test1 or MyClass just to move on quickly. But once your project grows, these names become a nightmare. 

➡ Pick clear, consistent names from the start. Think of it as leaving breadcrumbs for your future self and your teammates.

As you know we have Global Masters program — InterSystems Data Platform Advocacy Hub. 

All Global Masters members (Advocates) can achieve various levels of advocacy which depends on contributions on Developer Community and activity in Global Masters. 

Every new level opens new type of challenges/tasks and new types of rewards.

We are excited by how engaged you are with Global Masters but realised that we have a really great gap between initial level Insider and the next level Specialist. Indeed, Specialist level demands really great achievements: 10 articles, 10 questions on DC, article with 1,000 views.

So we introduced a new level of advocacy with name "Advocate".

and the result is 

Why It cannot show the full year, I mean why 99 or 95 why not 1999 or 1995 ?
