My scenario is:

I have a Cache method that

call a REST -> JSON -response > INSERT/UPDATE the source table of a DeepSee Cube -> Update the Cube only for this change -

I want to view in .NET Application the changes. For that I want that this method should be executed at a defined interval.

Or maybe the solution is a Refresh button in .NET page. is there any way to access a Cache method from .NET?

Any idea how to do it?

I have a Zen Mojo application that haves a tree menu, in this menu I'm loading all records from database (about 1500) and the page is very slow, about 2 seconds to load, I don't know how to get faster.

Hello!
There is a class query “MemberStatusList” in the SYS.Mirror class that I would like to call from a .NET client application.
I know that means that there is also a generated class method called MemberStatusListFunc.
What is the best way if any exist to call them from a .NET application?
Just see if anything responded I tried using something like

Incremental Compile Issues

First, my $ZVERSION:

Cache for OpenVMS/ALPHA V7.x (Alpha) 2010.1.6 (Build 952_2 + Adhoc 17754) 3-JAN-2018 14:32:54.07

Second, my issue:

I believe my current villain is “incremental compiling.” I was able to compare early compile output with later compile output:

Compilation started on 04/10/2019 10:46:32 with qualifiers 'cuk'
Compiling class UnitTests.Task3496 incremental compile detected
Compiling routine UnitTests.Task3496.2
Compilation finished successfully in 0.800s.

IRIS or Cache?

Hello all,

I am in a bit of a situation where I could get your help please.

I want to get certified with IRIS, but I also do see that there is an availability named Cache.

Are they both the same or different? if different please explain it to me as how?

Also what is the difference between IRIS, IRIS for Health, Deep Sea? Please explain to me.

Also what do you think I should get my self certified with?

SSLConfig with ECC

Hello everyone,
I can choose between RSA and DSA. ECC seems to be unsupported.
Is there any workarounds without using external binary like curl?

Given a complex method flagged with [ SqlProc ] so it is available as an SQL stored procedure, what's the best way to report a non-system error detected in that method - say, for example, an error %Status - so that the SQL query calling it fails descriptively? Is it best to create and throw an exception, or are there special % variables involved (like in a trigger)? I haven't been able to find an answer in the documentation.

How export data using query

Hi, iam newbie on caché database.

Iam trying, export data from query.

I read in some article that is not so simple.

So I create a view then a execute a query insert into select statement.

I have problem to know the job progress. I execute an hour ago and nothing happened.

Iam using intersystems web IDE.

Overriding soap body

We can override soap body by using WriteSOAPBodyMethod. Something like:

This is for the veteran programmers out there (you know who you are; you started programming before date 60000).

I'm in the middle of updates for our system, and I've come across many $ZU() calls. Most of them are documented in the "Replacement List", but two are missing: $ZUtil(0) and $ZUtil(1).

I honestly don't remember what these are for (and I'm pretty sure I used them in code in a previous century), so if someone can tell me, great. If you can provide a link to a reference, better!

I am running csession on AIX. I have been using the command "csession cache -U%SYS". In the session the namespace shows as "%SYS>" as expected. I was simply doing queries to the best of my knowledge. At some point csession starting failing to reference the namespace instead showing /cachesys/mgr which is the main dir for the cache instance. I am not aware of doing anything that would cause this but more importantly, how do I correct it? I

Does anybody know what happend to %SYS.GSET routine in Cache 2016 ?

In Cache 2013 it still existed, I didn't find anything about it in Cache realese notes 2014 and 2015.

I have two servers in our TEST environment. One with HSBUS and one with HSREGISTRY. Let's call them "HSBUS01" and "HSDB01" respectively.

Now, I can access HSBUS with my SQL client by using the JDBC driver pointed to hsbus01.full.name.com and port 1972 and specifying a namespace of "HSBUS". I am, however, unable to access the HSREGISTRY instance via SQL with a similar combination of information.

I am inspecting our DB globals in order to reduce sizes of the worst offenders if possible. When I come to a large global, I am interested which of its nodes are the largest. Hence code below with unexpected different results. Any explanations why are results different?

Why do I upload files faster with webservice than with csp?

The soap protocol used by webservice has to go through http protocol. csp directly handles http, no xml encapsulation, so it should be faster.

After testing, for a 1M file, csp is about 0.1s slower. After the gateway connection to 1972, there is a stall of about 0.1s, not sure why.

Is there any way to make the file upload speed of csp faster than webservice?

webservice用的soap协议也得走http呀。csp直接处理http，少了xml的封装，按理来说应该更快。

经测试，1M的文件，csp慢了0.1s左右。在网关连接到1972后，有0.1s左右的停滞，不知道原因。

Has anyone tried to call Security.Users class (in %SYS namespace) for creating or editing users from a shell script (or any programming language)?

If yes, can you please share your code?

How to use zb to debug

Hi,

I want to monitor some variables in my program.

So I do this "zb *varname", however, i don't really want to get break went the program touch "varname" every time.

I only want to get break when certain conditions are meet. For example, $d(varname(1,2,3)) > 0, then break.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Cache deleting users

Very new to this side of cache....

So, currently in the habit of keeping all users forever, up to over 5000... ? is what if we decided to start deleting old users who have been gone from the company, how would it affect any account level information? notes, payments etc.... Is there any documentation anywhere that would answer this or describe this process or maybe best practices??

Sorry if this seems stupid but i am working on a proof theory for work.
