Does anyone know of a utility to compare two databases (i.e., CACHE.DAT files) and find globals/subscripts that are different between them?

If not, I'll write one and share it.

Quick question... Is it possible to save a class in another namespace. If you're saving a global you can just use an extended reference, but is it possible to achieve the same when saving a class object? Obviously the class will be defined in the other namespaces too.

I want to do it from an Ensemble SOAP Service. I guess you could switch namespaces, but I was a bit worried about doing that from Ensemble process.

I have two Databases let´s say DB1-LOGIN and DB2-Application. Each of this DBs has a resource assigned. DB1-LOGIN has a resource %DB1-LOGIN which has a public permission of 'read'. DB2 has a resource as well %DB2-Application with no public access.

%Compiler.UDL.TextServices works only with classes and ##class(%Routine).%New("dashboard.dfi") doesn't work as well.

I am currently in need of a way to serve files dynamically (sending specific replacements for when the requested file doesn't exist, possibly depending on other conditions such as passed parameters).

Good day, every process in my software is about to update 3 specific globals in row when the process is called to do some job. I need to guarantee that during updating of those globals with multiple processes there is only one process that is actually working with those globals. Moreover I need my globals unreadable if other process is in critical area.

Example:

Some of our interfaces use globals for lookups, but we are currently looking at putting a groups of (document) interfaces in a separate production with a shared ‘Default Database for Routines’ to reduce code duplication.

I'm using Caché as an OAuth authorization server and I want to accept the password credentials grant type. I've found that if I make an authorize request, the Caché authorization server requires some URL parameters that shouldn't be required in password grant (redirect_uri, state, scope, and response_type). I want to grant access to view the Error Trap in System Management Portal to certain admins, without giving them access to anything that would alter Caché behavior, such as users or database sizes. I was looking for a granular Resource that would do this, but haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
