Currently, when we want to write data to a file that will be viewed in Excel, we parse the data in tab deliminated format to the file and name it with .xls at the end. That is sent to end users via email. They get a warning that the data is not formatted properly (it's not really an Excel file after all) but it does display somewhat correctly as the tabs are understood (this does not work if we deliminated with commas however).
There is a problem connecting clients through ODBC.
"ERROR [08S01] [Cache ODBC][State : 08S01][Native Code 459] Connection via cconnect failed: TCP connect() failed - exception satisfied select(). Reason: (10061, 0x274d) No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."
Error sometimes occurs. In cconsole.log there are only messages about high CPU usage.

I have a CSP page that throw a "414 error - Request-URI Too Long" when I put lot of text (eg : 10000 characters) into a field of a submitted form. The form is submitted using POST method.
Based on some experiments I made, it seems the max size of a URL is around 8200 characters.
What is the official limit, and is there a way to increase it ? I searched in the documentation but couldn't find anything.
I am trying to send an HTTP request and getting "SSL/TLS error return from SSL_connect()." error (Cache 2013). No modification in SSL/TLS Configuration helped. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Hello, one of our application partner, is considering modernizing their old CSP laboratory portal by using Zen Mojo with Bootstrap. They have a lot of experience with COS, CSP and some ZEN. They are new to REST/JSON and have some limited knowledge of javascript - perhaps not enough to the extent used by client framework.
You have a global ^CODE("TNO","BIO",291,"AKI") that may or may not exist. On the data side of the global ref it can have a boolean value of 0 (false) or 1 (true) and this global is wrapped up in a Caché class accessible from myobject.AKI property. At the object level, how do you check whether the property is defined ie. is there a $DATA equivalent for Cache Object properties? Also, how would you kill /null the property as opposed to making the value 0 (false) or an empty string?
Im curious if there is any specific configuration that has to be done on an IIS web server to serve up RESTful web services.
I have a server that has IIS installed, with the CSP gateway. a second server that has Cache installed on it.
I have configured a web application using the Cache System Management Portal for the web services that has a dispatch class pointing to my dispatch class.
I have created an application mapping in my CSP Gateway Management Portal on the web server such that url's with /webservices prefix are routed to my cache server.
In .NET Core you have an option to extend a session using a "sliding expiration". This means that if over half the time has passed and the user actively uses their session then the expiry timer gets reset and the user remains logged in. This can lead to the curious situation where you have an active authenticated user with an expired access token being used in data-access requests.
Is it possible to save Cache code into a file and then run it via command line?
IE: csession [ini] -U [ini] /path/cacheCodeFile.?
What I need to do is run a Cache script from the Linux command line. The script will navigate data to produce a file and then it will exit back to the command line.
I'm using %XML.Writer to write XML files from a database source, and I see that it is not encoding carriage return or line feed as
 and
 respectively, and is instead leaving them unencode.
I'm doing a query in SQL and I need to sort my data by some non-repeated field.
Unfortunately, my data is grouped in a way that I cannot guarantee that any column will not have repeated data, so one solution would be to take the row number.
Also, the Cache is not accepting Row_Number () in my querry and I would like to know if there is another solution to return line numbers or some way to add this function to the Cache.
I have installed in Windows 10 the following: CACHE 2016, node.js v 4.4.7 and express .
- where can I get cache.node? The link in the Intersystmes documentation http://globalsdb.org/downloads/ doesn't work. I found cache0100.node and cache0120.node in my Cache instance's \bin directory. But I am not sure if I can use them or not.
- how to install cache.node ? Where do I place it exactly?
I set up cache in container, which is working fine. But when accessing managment portal the default user was alway Unknown user and no username or password were required. So i disabled the Unknow user in the Security section, but now i keep getting an error access denid.
Set httprequest=##class(%Net.HttpRequest).%New()
Set httprequest.Server="www.intersystems.com"
Do httprequest.Get("/")
Do httprequest.HttpResponse.OutputToDevice()
Do httprequest.Get("/cache/")
Do httprequest.HttpResponse.OutputToDevice()
I don't want to take all results from the table and orgainze them manually, for example: I have a table with 50 records, but I only want to select 10 records, being from tenth until the twentieth and this without knowing their IDs.
So, how can I do this, without losing performance, there is any way?
Would like to know if there is an alternative or better way to paginate through a dataset using dynamic SQL than what I am using below. The problem is that as the potential pool of data gets larger, this code slows down to the point of not being useable. In analyzing each line of code below, it appears the slow down is related to the initial rset.%Next() iteration. Is there anything available which does not require a subquery/%VID such as a simple LIMIT/OFFSET?
Is there a better way to iterate through all properties of an object than the following? Perhaps without needing to open a definition of the class but directly against the object?
I'd like to know about what source control version is recommended to use with Caché / Ensemble. Can someone help me? If yes, there is some documentation to how to configure?
I have a situation where I write a character stream to a file. The file content gets signed and the signature is sent to a service provider together with the file content.
The signing is done using openssl.
This works perfectly on a dev PC, which is runnning Windows and has a little-endian architecture.
The problem is as soon as I do this on the server, which has a big-endian architecture, the signed value is incorrect according to the service provider.
The content is signed using RSA SHA256 with PSS padding.

I am trying to make architecture for my project. Our current file repository was on a linux server, but it has been having issues. For this reason, we are moving the data to SharePoint online, since we already pay for the service. It seems there is not an option to ftp/sftp files to/from the SharePoint Online server from our RedHat server (Cache for UNIX (Red Hat Enterprise Linux for x86-64) 2015.2.3 (Build 855_0_17370))
How would I send and receive From the RedHat server to the SPO Server?
I'd love full example code, but any help pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
