A programming tool or software development tool is a computer program that software developers use to create, debug, maintain, or otherwise support other programs and applications.
There are many applications for working with HL7 V2 messages, but the tools for working with XML in IRIS Management Portal and Cache Studio are limited.
The power of the presented tool becomes visible with a large JSON file. The example I have prepared is composed of the daily results of AoC 2023. Anonymization makes it usable for demo purposes.
We’ll be hosting our bi-annual virtual User Group Session on Thursday, November 3rdat 3pm (GMT). We will demonstrate the new Production component driver for Deltanji - it enables highly granular management of Interoperability Productions with tight integration into the management portal.
The session is also an opportunity for us to help to problem-solve any issues you're having, and a chance for you to offer your feedback on our tools.
Those interested in finding out more about Deltanji source control are welcome to join us too.
Just wanted to give visibility to a place in GitHub where everybody can publish Enhancement Requests, Ideas and Innovations that would be great to have in our InterSystems Technology ecosystem.
Messages.log file contains lots of useful information about IRIS. Sometimes the file gets big, and it is not easy to get to the data I am interested to review. It would be nice to jump to a specific date and time we suspect a problem may have started.
In the previous part of this series, we saw how to reference a web page that will enhance our dashboard experience. Now we will look into referencing data that is already in our cubes.
In this example, we will be referencing the controller object and we will be extracting data from it. This data will then be displayed as text in our Dashboard. In Part 5, we will show how to incorporate this data into other charting libraries.
In a previous article, I talked about the implemented package manager commands (generate, list, load).
In this article I want to talk about other commands.

I would like to share the history of the project - the ZAPM shell.
As soon as ZPM was implemented, I immediately began to think about how best to use it.
And immediately faced with the desire to move more quickly between namespaces, especially when there are more than 20 of them.
I had to leave the ZPM, move to the desired namespace and re-enter the shell.
I suggested an improvement - a new "namespace" command for easier navigation.
I didn’t wait - I did it myself. And so it went. If you need it, get ready to do it yourself.
Thank you to everyone who joined our User Group Session yesterday!
It was great showing off the new Deltanji Production Component driver that facilitates source control of interoperability productions, and we had some really insightful discussions as well.
If you missed out on the session and would like a copy of the recording, feel free to drop me a message.
Is it planned that LOAD DATA takes into account several DATE/DATETIME formats with, for example, a parameter indicating the format used in the source data?
example :
LOAD DATA .../...
USING
{
"from": {
"file": {
"dateformat": "DD/MM/YYYY"
}
}
}
Based on the successful solution for my 2nd contribution to the Contest I used an adapted version for this package. And have some findings I'd like to share.
Multiple communication steps over CPIPE may take time. You won't recognize it on a fast machine. But a slower box with Windows + Docker Desktop + your browser (and more) is neither "Speedy Gonzales" nor a "Road Runner". 🙂
Listen to CEO George James chat with Derek Robinson, host of the InterSystems DataPoints podcast talk about source control, developer tools and how our solutions are beneficial for InterSystems IRIS users.
In this short 17 minute episode, George and Derek discuss our work with developer tools, and how choosing the right source control can provide users with a seamless solution - which is why Deltanji is seen as the go-to source control for InterSystems IRIS users.

If you missed our presentation at the InterSystems UK&I Summit and our demo during the Source Control roundtable, but you still want to find out more about source control for Interoperability Productions... there’s another chance to see it at our User Group Session next Thursday, November 3rd at 3pm (GMT).
The new driver enables highly granular management of Interoperability Productions with tight integration into the InterSystems IRIS management management portal.
I will devote the third article to a story about the additional features of the project.

Very often you need to find out if there is a specific package in the current instance, for example, so as not to duplicate.
To do this, I implemented a modification of the namespace command of the package manager, on the option tab, you need to press the FIND button.
I was wondering if there is a way to modify the results you get in the code assist in Visual Studio Code. Ideally even per class or package.
For example: the code below is for a custom component of a framework. From all the options listed I'm only interested in my own property "Title" and I don't want to see any %-methods or auto-generated methods like "TitleSet" and "TitleGet".
As AI-driven automation becomes an essential part of modern information systems, integrating AI capabilities into existing platforms should be seamless and efficient. The IRIS Agent project showcases how generative AI can work effortlessly with InterSystems IRIS, leveraging its powerful interoperability framework—without the need to learn Python or build separate AI workflows from scratch.
First of all thanks for your time, thoughts, teaching and help:
We wonder how could we get the metrics from http://[Ip]:[Port]/api/monitor/metrics and use them in Kibana to chart statistics.
We would like to ask you how do you use the api monitor metrics, and as a second question, how would you suggest to utilize them in a third party software as Kibana to chart them.
In this article, I’m excited to introduce CodeInspector, a tool designed to simplify code validation by applying custom rules tailored to your development requirements. Whether you're managing a large codebase or working in an agile environment, CodeInspector helps ensure code quality by offering flexibility and adaptability to specific project needs.
There are situations when your only access to a server is using a web browser, and there is just no chance of a Terminal or Console access. The Online Demo Server is such a case.
So you have WebTerminal. That's fine for ObjectScript and Embedded Python.
We're hosting our Deltanji and Serenji user group session tomorrow - there's still time to register, if you haven't already.
We'll be showcasing some advanced features of Deltanjiand Serenji in VS Code with time for a discussion - so feel free to bring along any problems you need help solving or share your feedback on our tools. We'd love to hear your thoughts. If you're interested in our tools this is a great chance to hear what others have to say, as well as asking your own questions.
