I have to connect to an external database and I'd like to use the JDBC SQL Gateway.

I followed this tutorial [1] to create a JDBC SQL Gateway and after configured it works as expected, but I don't know

how use this connection into source code. Maybe these other tutorial is related [2] and [3].

I have a task that has been working successfully for some time now but when I attempt to recompiled I get this error:

I have a co-worker who is trying to run the below query via ODBC. The issue is that the query appears to be running extremely slow (nearly 2 hours).

Ok so I am way outside of my comfort zone, and had to build an application using CSP to give users the ability to access SQL configuration tables. These SQL Configuration tables will affect the data that is sent to the downstream system.

I saw in the examples where we were able to import GIF's/IMAGES into the CSP folders to use as a reference in our CSP pages. My question is how do you do that? If I try to import through studio, it tells me the file is invalid.

Just trying to make it a little more user friendly then blocks on a page.

In MySQL I have the following table:

CREATE TABLE `info` (
   `created` int(11)
);

And it is linked (via JDBC SQL Gateway) to Cache table mysql.info. `created` field stores unix timestamp. So when I execute this SQL in SMP:

SELECT created FROM mysql.info

I receive the following output (which is expected):

I have several BPL's that act like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) where they are transferring data. When I do this they are all being written under 1 session id, is it possible to make the BPL create multiple session ID's as it is cycling through a Snapshot, so it is easier to read in the trace?

Did you know that you can get JSON data directly from your SQL tables?

Let me introduce you to 2 useful SQL functions that are used to retrieve JSON data from SQL queries - JSON_ARRAY and JSON_OBJECT.
You can use those functions in the SELECT statement with other types of select items, and they can be specified in other locations where an SQL function can be used, such as in a WHERE clause

The JSON_ARRAY function takes a comma-separated list of expressions and returns a JSON array containing those values.

The documentation only provides the syntax but does not provide any sample DDL for this case.

I am modifying some DB2 queries to Cache SQL but always meet some errors, please provide a sample query for this case.

I am trying to return the maximum of the value of 2 fields: LastViewed and LastDownloaded AS a local variable -LastAccessed for each row, using a SQL query . These values are stored as $ H format. Is there an existing SQL command that compares two column values ? I could not find one, so I tried using a $Select statement . I got an error that said A term expected beginning with either of: identifier, constant, aggregate, $$,(,:,+....)

I have been trying to pull data through a linked server in SSMS from an InterSystems Cache Database for a while, this is to enable us to join the data to other source systems in our Data Warehouse.

I have set up an ODBC connection and a linked server to the database and can execute queries through OPENQUERY in Management studio, but the data is huge (> 100million rows). So when I execute a SQL query with a WHERE clause the query just spins.

We are trying to convert some of our SQL Service Integration Service jobs from Visual Studio to Ensemble. If we execute a Stored Procedure within SQL Server Management Studio it is returning approx 12,000 rows. However when Ensemble executes the same Stored Procedure it is only returning 250 rows.

Is there a limitation to EnsLib.SQL.Snapshot?
