Did you know that you can get JSON data directly from your SQL tables?
Let me introduce you to 2 useful SQL functions that are used to retrieve JSON data from SQL queries - JSON_ARRAY and JSON_OBJECT. You can use those functions in the SELECT statement with other types of select items, and they can be specified in other locations where an SQL function can be used, such as in a WHERE clause
The JSON_ARRAY function takes a comma-separated list of expressions and returns a JSON array containing those values.
I am trying to do a INSERT OR UPDATE SQL query, but the query always inserts new rows to table. Is it how I defined the table or am I mising something in the query?
table defines as,
Class AH.AHCOMMON.Tables.HospDepartmentData Extends %Persistent [ Language = objectscript ] {
Imagine the scene. You are working happily at Widgets Direct, the internet's premier retailer of Widgets and Widget Accessories. Your boss has some devastating news, some customers might not be fully happy with their widgets, and we need a helpdesk application to track these complaints. To makes things interesting, he wants this with a very small code footprint and challenges you to deliver an application in less than 150 lines of code using InterSystems IRIS. Is this even possible?

I am attempting to create a new table by executing a SELECT statement that involves joining multiple tables. However, I encountered an error during execution: '( expected, AS found^Combined AS.' I would also like to create a cube based on this SQL table. However, during the cube creation process, I am prompted to specify a source class, and I'm unsure which class to use as it requires an existing class. Could you please help me identify the issue with the table creation, and provide guidance on selecting the appropriate source class for the cube creation?"

Generally we could insert the stream object through SQL for stream properties and insert the list values for list of %String property. So, Is there any way to achieve this insert for the list of objects property( ex: Property CodeTable As list of Sample.CodeTable) via SQL?
The system I am working on processes large numbers of records. Inserts, updates and so forth. There are multiple processes that can potentially work on the same table at the same time.
It is an almost impossible task to try and time these processes to not run at the same time, due to volumes, SLAs, etc.
Every now and then there are a few locking issues, Not many considering the volumes. It is just a bit of a nuisance as we need to reprocess these records later.
I wonder how to select a conditional value from a Table column that has lists of values? Example: I have a table in the database that looks like below:
So last night I was doing a deployment which had a query to select from a large dataset of joined tables, to iterate through and populate data in a new table.
This was done in a classmethod using embedded SQL and the %PARALLEL keyword. On a testing environment with the same dataset, this worked perfectly a few days earlier.
When running a sql insert query with CONVERT('datetime', '2023-12-12 11:27:00',120) in an insert statement into a table this works on one server and not the other.

I want to connect the app to Cloud SQL but when I registered and created the deployment (trial) I got the error:
Did anybody face such an error? During the creation of an account, there was a message like 'username is taken' but the account have been created anyway. Maybe it could cause this problem.
In a fast-paced digital era, effective communication is crucial. This article introduces a Java-based chat project, combining the strength of IRIS database and ChatGPT intelligence. Built on Java, it goes beyond real-time messaging, leveraging IRIS and ChatGPT for an enhanced chat experience. Also, the name of the project references the cultural classic - Star Wars.
How can IRIS productions be deployed more quickly and with greater peace of mind?
The aim of interoperability productions is to enable you to connect systems in order to transform and route messages between them. To connect systems, you develop, configure, deploy and manage productions that integrate several software systems.
GmOwl is a solution that offers an organized and engaging learning platform. It was developed to cater to the increasing need, for learning tools providing a versatile quiz environment that meets users requirements.
The main objective of GmOwl is to deliver an user experience for individuals participating in quizzes while giving administrators comprehensive control, over content and user engagement.

DBA has asked me to configure a working Business Operation using a SQL.OutboundAdapter (connecting to external MSSQL server) to run as TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED.
I would like help with an example of how this is done.
This article is an overview of SQLAlchemy, so let's begin!
SQLAlchemy is the Python SQL toolkit that serves as a bridge between your Python code and the relational database system of your choice. Created by Michael Bayer, it is currently available as an open-source library under the MIT License. SQLAlchemy supports a wide range of database systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server, making it versatile and adaptable to different project requirements.
The SQLAlchemy SQL Toolkit and Object Relational Mapper from a comprehensive set of tools for working with databases and Python. It has several distinct areas of functionality which you can use individually or in various combinations. The major components are illustrated below, with component dependencies organized into layers:

With the release of InterSystems IRIS Cloud SQL, we're getting more frequent questions about how to establish secure connections over JDBC and other driver technologies. While we have nice summary and detailed documentation on the driver technologies themselves, our documentation does not go as far to describe individual client tools, such as our personal favourite DBeaver. In this article, we'll describe the steps to create a secure connection from DBeaver to your Cloud SQL deployment.
