This is the ninth in a series of releases that are part of the developer preview program for 2022.2 Future preview releases are expected to be updated biweekly and we will add features as they are ready. Please share your feedback through the Developer Community so we can build a better product together.

As usual,  CD releases come with classic installation packages for all supported platforms, as well as container images in Docker container format.  For a complete list, refer to the Supported Platforms document.

Hi, Community!

Today we deployed new DC release which delivers.

Better subscriptions

All subscription settings now placed in one page, unified and simplified.
 

You can subscribe to Posts, Tags, Groups and Members and you can view it all, or filter by category on one page.

you can search for the subscription in case it's a lot and alter if you want to subscribe for the comments for every post with a given tag or group.

If you want to turn on or turn off the emailing from the site - there is one switcher for it: receive notifications.

 

Permalinks and answers

Comments and Answers have permalinks now.

In addition to the new supported platforms (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and RHEL 9), Community Edition limits will soon be updated to:

  • Maximum cores: 20
  • Maximum connections: 8 

NOTE: These limits aren't available yet for the latest developer preview build 2022.2.0.322.0. It's expected to the Developer Preview 7, to be released by next week.

Caché  2018.1.2 and Ensemble 2018.1.2 maintenance releases are now available.    

Full product installation kits can be downloaded from the WRC Software Distribution site.

For information about the corrections in this release, refer to the release notes.

This release adds support for Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows Server 2019.1 operating systems. You can see the details of all supported platforms inthis Supported Platforms document.

 The build corresponding to this release is 2018.1.2.309.0

Now if you want to ping a member with email notification, just place in the post (or comment) following:

@name.surname

Once it is published, a member would get the email notification that he was mentioned in particular post/comment.

Release Highlights:

InterSystems announces another developer preview release, as part of the developer preview program for the 2022.3. Many updates and enhancements have been added in 2022.3 and there are also brand new capabilities, such as the new FHIR SQL Builder, improvements for Columnar Storage, and support to Oracle Linux 9. Some of these features or improvements may not be available in this current developer preview.

Future preview releases are expected to be updated biweekly and we will add features as they are ready.

We updated the DC a bit.

Member's answers

With this release, you can see the answers on the member's page too.

E.g. see the answers by Timothy Leavitt

Post updates don't move the post to top

So we can fix the tags, spelling and make other updates to the post and it would not be moved to top anymore. 

Now only new answers and comments move the post to the top of the feed.

RSS and other bug fixes

Now bugs for RSS feeds are fixed.

Also, Votes renamed to Rating and has the color indication now. Green means good!

Here are a few other changes and updates coming in this release.

1. When making a new post, the Related Topics (tagging) is now required. We are doing this because we want to add more features to the site and need the content organized by tag for more granular navigation, cross-linking and page customization. We will create a posting in Developer Community Feedback so that tags can be discussed and we'd be happy to adjust what tags are available now.
