I need to remove content below, from PID-3/HL7 message, in IRIS. However, I need to keep the content in PID-3.1. For example, I’d need to keep only, “5050532”. Can this be done in Data Transformations? If yes, how?

I need to convert HL7 Message into FHIR Format.Can anyone share basic reference for FHIR ADT^A01 message?

For converting HL7 message to FHIR we need to convert HL7 to SDA3 format and then converting SDA3 to FHIR format.

Please Share few basics steps for converting SDA3 to FHIR message?

Trying to start investigating an error we are seeing with multiple of the same messages getting sent to the same vendor. We receive an HL7 message with an RTF embedded from our EMR, send it through a DTL to just update the Patient Class, and then send it onto the Operation which is TCP.

Hi all! 2nd time poster and still kind of a newbie. I Googled and searched the posts but did not find anything quite like my question. I have an XML to HL7 2.6 MFN_M16 translation. I created an XML schema and I am using it inside a DTL to translate data to HL7. The XML is rather simple EXCEPT one element as data separated by pipes. This only happens when one item has multiple PAR Locations. To make a valid HL7 message these multiple PAR Locations each need their own IVT segment.

XML Par Location is equal to HL7 IVT:InventoryLocationIdentifier OR (IVT-2)

A newbie question. I am trying to use Data Transformation Editor to transform NTE segments into additional OBX segments. At the moment I am getting both segments OBX and NTE trying to populate a single OBX. Can this be easily fixed?

I was wondering if InterSystems offers any message profiling capabilities. What I mean by "message profiling" is essentially stats or metrics gathered from a collection of data submissions of a particular type. For instance, average number of segments <XYZ> in a specific HL7 V2 message type. Or the number of sections found in a HL7 V3 CDA documents.

Curious if there is anything like this provided "out-of-box".

For testing purposes, I would like to create an EnsLib.HL7.Message from either a %String or a file on disk and pass it into a function in a unit test (outside of an Ensemble context). EnsLib.HL7.Parser appears to do the necessary parsing, but it also sends the message via Ensemble service rather than returning it as a value. Is there a way to leverage the parsing outside of a Ensemble service? Alternatively, is there another way to create an EnsLib.HL7.Message?

I am receiving a HL7 message over TCP connection.

We have a couple of systems that send us a URL link to a PDF instead of base 64 encoding it in the HL7 message. Has anyone ever tired to take that URL, and retrieve the file off of the server to save it off somewhere?

Could we please get some insight on what is possible (or what other organizations may be using) for tracking uptime for our HL7 engine? We can use Activity Tracking to show how many messages went through, but are there any good canned reports (or queries) about the number of message failures or the amount of time that an interface was down?

We are using alerting to the team to know about not getting messages or if messages failed. Has anyone created a report or dashboard against the Ens.Alert table or would you recommend elsewhere?

Is it possible to have a, b, c, d, e, and f as a counter instead of the counter being numeric? See below...Epic would like us to set OBX.4 using a alpha numeric combination.

• -add new item to class definition
• compile class in all namespaces
• reindexing messages with the BuildIndex() method
