#Caché

I need to catch the user using a bookmark to get into the application in the 'middle'; i.e. the user is getting into the application not at the home page. I've tried OnPreHTTP to redirect, but I can't catch the new session, and it doesn't redirect.

How can you redirect to the home page upon login?

Let's say I have two classes: A and B. They share no common parent except %SystemBase. But these classes have some properties with the same name (type may be the same or not):

Class A {

Property data As C;

Property data2;

}

Class B {

Property data As D;

Property data3;

I need to automatically convert object of class A into object of class B. I'm planing to write a class generator that generates a separate class that converts A to B. It would work like this:

Let's say that we wish to store the documents sent to us via all of our Customers, and that the documents could be in PDF, spreadsheet, RTF, plain text, Comma-Separated-Values and XML.

It would be hoped that %Stream.Object would be a good choice of property to hold these documents, especially as you would expect %Stream.Object to morph between BINARY (for PDF, spreadsheet, RTF) or CHARACTER (for plain text, CSV, XML) depending on which type of stream was being persisted.

I'm trying to recreate a smaller copy of our DEV machine on a sandbox instance. I installed a new instance, and thought it would be a good idea to copy over a few cache.dat files from the critical namespaces (but not all of them), and start from there.

Is there an ObjectScript analog of Find with Match Element Type option? I know there is an ObjectScript analog of Find in Files, Studio.Project.FindInFiles and Studio.Project.FindInProject, but I failed to locate so far an analog of Edit/Find. I am specifically interested in Match Element Type option so I could search across selected files for globals. Somehow Studio.Project.FindInFiles does not offer this option natively.

I have a class that specifies that streams should be stored in SSA.DocumentCacheS, however, they are getting stored in CacheStream instead.

How can I get streams to properly store in SSA.DocumentCacheS?

After restoring all the Cache related files on a machine, I am performing journal recovery using the command "^JRNRESTO". It works as described in the document and the recovery succeeds. However, the command is interactive. Is there a way I can run it in a programmatic way? I don't want to just supply a text file containing answers to all the prompts. I am wondering if there is way I can pass all the information upfront to the command.
