We are trying to understand how websocket connections from a javascript client may timeout in cache. Does anyone know if and of the session timeout or any other timeouts apply to any synchronous websocket connections? I have not been able to prove that they do timeout at all.

We are planning to use Caché users on a SOAP web-service, so the WS-security tokens will be used.
It will be username and password only for now.
The passwords should expire on a regular basis and this will be configured in the system-wide security settings.
The consumer of the web-service should be able to change their password on-demand or when it has expired, via a web-service call.

For the on-demand change, I can create a service method which can be called by the consumer to change the password.

I am using a method: %OverrideGuidAssignment("NEW GUID HERE") to override my GUID, and would like to know if there are any parameters, which allow this method to return a status & or error msg?
If you currently set it to a variable it returns the new GUID you originally passed in, regardless of if it failed to override or not.

Parallel execution in COS

Hello community,

I need to perform some processing-heavy operations on a set of input objects and I would like to utilize more than a single processor core to do the heavy lifting.

Is there any way to call methods in parallel and wait for the results in a blocking way?

Basically, I am looking for an equivalent of the pythonese

with Pool(n) as p:
results = p.map(function, data)

Hi everyone,

Im new in cache, i came from Java and im missing some features that i couldn't find in the documentation, I hope you can help me with this questions.

Just a brief introducction:

- Im in a project with old cache version, so saddly i can't use Eclipse + Atelier, so im using Studio.

- Currently im in a project with persistent classes, we want to turn apart the globals and focus on tables.

I am having trouble sending URL encoded payload to eFax in FormData. Does anyone have experience working with the eFax? Their support is not the greatest.

This is what I am trying to send

I am importing scriptlink wsdl in the form designer. I get the following error:

Error Importing WSDL. Please validate WSDL address. ERROR #6301: SAX XML Parser Error attribute value expected while processing Annonymous Stream at line 28 offset 73.

Please advise.

Remember, interface is different from Abstract Class, because a abstract class can implement code in the method, so I don't want this, I want only define the methods from Class, not allowing implement code.

Good morning people.
The use of TDD is currently being reference for software delivery more confiabilitade and quality.

At the company I work developing web applications , we create tests for method class in a deteminado package and running the steps that the documentation recommends:

1 export the tests classes to a predefined folder.
2- And running the test ( D ## class (% UnitTest.Manager ) .RunTest (,"/nodelete" )

It is a lot of work to do the export and run these tests would have a resource that we could only run the tests without the need for export ?

If a user simply closes a tab (running a web application), is there any good way to ensure that the license is released AND the login cookie is destroyed?

I found that if the tab is simply closed without first logging out of the application, then 1) the license hangs around forever, and 2) if the user then opens a tab, he is already logged in.

Good Morning and thanks in advance for all replies. I have created a PowerShell script for backing up CACHE and all related files to be run on a nightly basis. My script works as long as the Unknownuser has %all access which is not acceptable in our production environment. I have tried every format I can thank of to get the script to use a specific id with no luck. How can I get this command to run under a specific id?

Hi Everyone,

I have frequently received this below error message in my ensemble 2009 Cconsole log.

" 11/08-13:05:06:114 (9784) 2 Skipping SET due to compare and swap failed on ^["^^e:\test\data\"]Debug("CalcTotal1") for records in e:\test\data\ addr=39745548 "

Please explain this, am very much trouble with this alert. And also want to know it will cause any system hangsup ?

I'm currently re-engineering an application from CSP pages directly accessing COS Methods, to an Angular/Material front end accessing a REST DAL. Both the Angular front end and REST services are hosted from the same Caché instance and the same namespace, but the REST services have their own CSP application, with all calls being routed through a Dispatch class.

I am trying to return the maximum of the value of 2 fields: LastViewed and LastDownloaded AS a local variable -LastAccessed for each row, using a SQL query . These values are stored as $ H format. Is there an existing SQL command that compares two column values ? I could not find one, so I tried using a $Select statement . I got an error that said A term expected beginning with either of: identifier, constant, aggregate, $$,(,:,+....)

Hi,

I am exploring a simple restore procedure for a Cache instance and would really appreciate any help.

Basically, I have a CentOS machine with a Cache instance and let us say I backed up all the mount points where Cache data is located (install dir, DAT files, journals, WIJ etc). On another identical machine (without Cache installed), I mounted all these file systems exactly using the same mount points so all the data is back with the same paths.

Load data from excel

I need to load data from excel to a class in cache, but this class has foreign key and property like AS ..... (other class). This class represent an item product that belongs to a line, the line blelongs a group and the group belongs a Category.

$ZF(-100,..) issues
