If a relationship is set and there is a large number of n in a 1:n ratio, a large amount of memory may be consumed due to sequential processing of the relationship.
After referencing a many-sided object in a program and internally swizzling it, simply releasing the variable containing the OREF (deleting it, setting another value, etc.) will not free the many-sided object and the relationship object. This is the cause.
anyone know of a simple way to search a blob of text from a list of keywords in one fell swoop, without having to iterate through each keyword and perform an individual search? Ex.
I am trying to reference a field, however, in our production environment, it can be found in the first second or third iteration. My code was only qualifying on the first iteration. I have been attempting to include all iterations, but I have come up short...below is a snippet of what I am attempting to use. My original code simply had GetValueAt("PID:13.4") but this only referenced the first iteration. Thanks for any thoughts!
So you have a namespace with thousands of .INT files and you want to identify routines that have not been executed in say the last 5 years. How would you do that without amending any existing software?
SPOOLER functionality is support in Cache 16? Previously we are using cache 5,Now we upgraded cache(cache 16). Is any changes required in SPOOLER set-up (Cache 16)?
Does someone knows if any Studio version or, if in its new versions, it will be able to recognize new Javascript statements like arrow function, let, const etc ?
Can the built-in $System.Encryption.TOTP() function be used in conjunction with Authenticator Apps (e.g. Google, Microsoft, and so on)?
Providing the same secret/key to a variety of authentication apps, they all return the same synchronized value. However, passing the same secret/key to $System.Encryption.TOTP() is generating a different value (with all instances executing at the same time for comparison).
I just tried to log into our QA server and connect to Terminal (v 2013.1).
I can type in my username but when I attempt to type my password, no characters are typed. When I press ENTER the password is invalid.
I can connect to the management portal and the studio development environment without any problems. Also, I do not have this problem when connecting to the terminal in our production environment (2010).
Does anyone know what can cause this type of problem?
Providing a reliable infrastructure for rapid, unattended, automated failover
Technology Overview
Traditional availability and replication solutions often require substantial capital investments in infrastructure, deployment, configuration, software licensing, and planning. Caché Database Mirroring (Mirroring) is designed to provide an economical solution for rapid, reliable, robust, automatic failover between two Caché systems, making mirroring the ideal automatic failover high-availability solution for the enterprise.
A benchmark of a real-world application, which loads data into a data warehouse for subsequent analysis, was performed. To conduct the benchmark, one module of the Oracle-based application was replicated in Caché ObjectScript. Only about 40 person-hours of work was required to duplicate the functionality of the original module in Caché.
When dealing with a support issue of one of our Deltanji source control sites this week I learned that if you're using InterSystems versions earlier than 2018.1 on Unix-type platforms it's possible that a class you export in UDL format will subsequently fail to import. So I'm posting this information here in case it helps other folk.
I'm trying to insert a relationship from a parent object instance to a child object instnace programmatically. Ie, i want to do:
Do parentObject.childRefProperty.Insert(chilDobject)
where childRefProperty is defined by a string. I feel this should be achievable with $PROPERTY and/or $METHOD or maybe something in $SYSTEM.OBJ.*, but can't quite figure it out. Anyone know?
Hello Cache Developers! The purpose for this post is to outline a coding challenge that I have encountered when trying to use shortcuts (i.e. CTRL+G) within a ZEN application. Allow me to provide a summarized background:
Our application has a ZEN page (call it the PPL page) with a tablepane that displays a list of records. This page also has an iFrame (#1)
I am calling a stored procedure over an ODBC connection and every time I call it there are several warnings written to the log event {Found no Parameter 1 (used as 1) for query}.I seem to be getting this on every query executed and that seems to happen a number of times the query parameters are per query and its filling up my disc.
1) Is there a way to suppress these warnings as the query seems to be executed and data written to the database?
