In cache studio there are features, dialog boxes, that help map data from a global to class properties. I have used %CacheSQLStorage quit a bit, or have in the past, to map globals to classes.
I haven't been able to find a similar feature in VisualStudio. Do I need to upgrade to IRIS to be able to use VisualStudio to map global properties to classes?
I'm currently looking at a process where we're utilising the Class Ens.StreamContainer, and was looking to do some deletions outside of any purge routines.
Having been burned before, I wanted to make sure that deleting the container also deletes the contents within.
From looking in the class, the %OnDelete ClassMethod appears to be removing an index from a search table and nothing more.
I'm interested in different approaches on how to store user data in Caché. I'm assuming that application uses Caché security/Caché users and not a self-made authentication system.
I want to get access to the folder where all files of the namespace are stored using COS. I found a way to get access to class files and found a folder where all csp, html, css etc files are stored.
However, is there any folder which contains all files(even .mac and .int)?
Or, probably, there is a method which gives all files content?
For custormer support reasons we would like to know if its possible to activate some kind of flag or see/redirect wich is the code (lines) being executed when some misterious problems appear.
Is there any way to view the stack of execution code on a deployed code environment? Is there any other equivalent way to track the execution stack for a certain period of time?
Hi - Trapping onselect and onchange events that occur on layout objects seems to work fine, however, according to the documentation, I should also be able to use onevent, which is defined as follows:
onevent: Defines how the page behaves when another type of event occurs within a documentView (an event other than select or change).
I found one interesting moment in Cache Object Script. It doesn't have(or at least I didn't find) trimming function. By trimming I mean if a string has some whitespaces/tabs/carriage returns from very beginning or/and from very right, this function removes them.
I don't want to take all results from the table and orgainze them manually, for example: I have a table with 50 records, but I only want to select 10 records, being from tenth until the twentieth and this without knowing their IDs.
So, how can I do this, without losing performance, there is any way?
I need some clarification on web service (Soap Service). For each Soap request, system consuming 1 license and it is not releasing until CSP session timeout and extra grace period 5.10 minutes(310 seconds). Due to this, at some time license consumption is full. If i use with Login credential (i.e password authenticated web service), it consumes one license for 25 connections(request). But i need to use it as anonymous user(Unauthenticated). Please advice.
I have a class to track data changes. As it becomes slower and slower to find last changes I think I need an index. The 2 classes are just simplified reality. HowTo ?

I wrote a ZAUTHENTICATE.mac a couple of months back, and found recently that it is creating coredumps on almost a nightly basis. I think I have figured out this problem to be not clearing out my MsgSearch after I am doing 2 of them within the code.

I'm trying to consume a REST Service that use Digest authentication, I'm trying to implement the authentication but I'm don't know where is my mistake.

I have a CSP page that throw a "414 error - Request-URI Too Long" when I put lot of text (eg : 10000 characters) into a field of a submitted form. The form is submitted using POST method.
Based on some experiments I made, it seems the max size of a URL is around 8200 characters.
What is the official limit, and is there a way to increase it ? I searched in the documentation but couldn't find anything.

I'd like to have an array as a parameter for a SQL 'WHERE... IN' statement. The array would be modified in javascript on the browser. Here's a simplified example:

The Query is looking for a Journal File Name and a String.
