NewBie's Corner Session 27 Traversing A Global with $Order Part 1
Welcome to NewBie's Corner, a weekly or biweekly post covering basic Caché Material.
Traversing A Global
Perhaps the most difficult concept in Caché/MUMPS is its Global Structure. This session and several that follow it deals with the Global Structure. However, just presenting the material will not guarantee your understanding of it. You must experiment with the data and concepts that are presented.
InterSystems IRIS has a menu called Interoperability.
It provides mechanisms to easily create system integrations (adapters, record maps, BPMs, data conversions, etc.) so different systems can be easily connected.
I have a few cubes and numerous dashboards and I am ready to deploy them to our end users and administrators. How to configure DeepSee so that users don’t disrupt each other’s areas and are restricted from using functionalities specific to developers?
I am taking some intro lessons in REST from the online courses. Below is a very simple code i wrote. But when i try to see the output by entering the url
Coming from a C/C++/C# background, I was expecting the & and | operators in Cache ObjectScript to perform bitwise operations on integers, but apparently they don't.
The following post is a guide to implement a basic architecture for DeepSee. This implementation includes a database for the DeepSee cache and a database for the DeepSee implementation and settings.
Our environment has multiple instances of HealthShare installed and most are on separate VMs/servers. Does anyone have any ideas on how to efficiently manage user accounts across all of these multiple instances of HealthShare? As you can imagine, creating 10 separate Cache accounts on each instance during onboarding of new associates is cumbersome and tedious as is disabling them. We have yet to integrate with AD but we do have a Cyberark initiative under way but it is in the very early stages.
As part of a BPL I am building I need to foreach over a some repeating elements and look for a certain value, if said value is present I need to forward the message to another operation.
I can't seem to get the if statement inside the foreach loop to work and I think I am doing something wrong?
The error message I am getting:
ERROR <Ens>ErrException: <UNDEFINED>zS2+2^GWH.Messages.Eobs.AKISegmentCheck.Thread1.1 *k1 -- logged as '-' number - @' Set k1=request.GetNextIndex("PIDgrpgrp("_(1)_").ORCgrp()",k1,.tSCTrans)'
In if condition what is the difference between specifying the single operator and double operator? For example, what is the difference between (&& and &) or (|| and !)
Any election is a highly mysterious process, and when you look at its results, the overall picture is not quite clear. I decided to put them, region by region, on the map of Moscow using InterSystems technologies that offer both storage and data analysis functionality. In this particular case, I used InterSystems Ensemble, a platform for application development and integration, but you can also build this solution using the multi-model InterSystems Caché DBMS, as well as InterSystems’ new product called IRIS Data Platform.
I'm looking to set up monitoring for several interfaces. I understand that I can set an Inactivity Timeout. However, obviously there are messages coming through more frequently during certain hours than other hours.
Is there a way to set an Inactivity Timeout for each hour of the day instead of one value that is used all day long?
While i am trying to write a data i am getting a error as "<PROPERTY DOES NOT EXIST>zFile+15^User.zKQRest.1 *value,%Collection.ListOfObj" but there are values stored in it. How can i break it write it separately.
I have an in-memory list of items and I want to check which items match my pattern string.
Pattern string is a comma-separated list of items and special symbols like '*' and maybe '?'.
There's something similar in $system.OBJ.Compile, it accepts patterns: "*.data.*,Sample.*" - and it would compile 'Sample' package and all 'data' packages.
For example:
set list=$lb("abc", "c", "aaa", "bbb")
set result = ..match(list, "a*,*b")
zw result
result=$lb("abc","aaa","bbb")
How can I remove elements from $lb property? Specifically last element? $list does not work with $lb properties. $listupdate can't remove elements The only solution I found is a temp variable and $list, but isn't there something better?
Is there any methods/ways through which will get to know whether any of the Unit Test cases is/are failing in the Terminal with status as either 0 or False in case of Failure & 1 or Ture in case of Test Passes (we are getting an url of the csp page with the report which has the passed failed status) as we need to send this failure status to Jenkins for the Build to Fail (where in we have acheived this part in making the build failure/success based on harcoded boolean)
Good day, every process in my software is about to update 3 specific globals in row when the process is called to do some job. I need to guarantee that during updating of those globals with multiple processes there is only one process that is actually working with those globals. Moreover I need my globals unreadable if other process is in critical area.
The following post outlines an architectural design of intermediate complexity for DeepSee. As in the previous example, this implementation includes separate databases for storing the DeepSee cache, DeepSee implementation and settings. This post introduces two new databases: the first to store the globals needed for synchronization, the second to store fact tables and indices.
I'm writing an operation to use the LDAP Outbound Adapter to query AD.
The operation's settings include a basic Credentials selector, to allow you to use the built in Credentials function of Ensemble. This can be referenced in the operation with ..Adapter.Credentials
I am trying to read an xml document using %XML.TextReader and that's is all well and l can get my elements values but would like to determine where the next record start on the xml without referring to the document path in essence would like to use the same method to read different xml docs. I would like to know if is there a way or a function that I can use to get the start and end of a record in xml as I would to get the start and end element.
Currently we have 2 Windows servers in a clustered environment. Is there a setting in HealthShare for a TCP/IP Operation to use the virtual IP address when initiating the connection, rather than the host IP address?
Good day, I would like to find out the size of Caché ObjectScript variable in order to guarantee that my program will not leak, equally in terminal and Caché globals. For example how huge number I can store in that variable ? And what happen in Caché when variable will leak ? How is this behavior treated? (how much memory is reserved for common variable?)
