Prerequisites

There are two plugins (extensions) for debugging ObjectScript:

The first is part of the InterSystems ObjectScript Extension Pack. The second is Serenji, a standalone plugin that provides an editor, file manager, and debugging functionality. Both plugins can be installed from the plugin store. To activate key functionality, Serenji requires a license. For this article, we'll use the InterSystems ObjectScript Extension Pack to reduce the learning curve. After you've mastered the basics, you can consider purchasing a paid license for Serenji.

Who hasn't been developing a beautiful example using a Docker IRIS image and had the image generation process fail in the Dockerfile because the license under which the image was created doesn't contain certain privileges?

In my case, what I was deploying in Docker is a small application that uses the Vector data type. With the Community version, this isn't a problem because it already includes Vector Search and vector storage. However, when I changed the IRIS image to a conventional IRIS (the latest-cd), I found that when I built the image, including the classes it had generated, it returned this error:

The rating reflects the experience of the reviewer with the status found at the time of review.
It is kind of a snapshot and might have changed meanwhile.
Reviews by other members of the community are marked by * in the last column.

I also placed a bunch of Pull Requests on GitHub when I found a problem I could fix.
Some were accepted and merged, and some were just ignored.
So if you did a major change and expect a changed review just let me know.

Hello! I just had a quick question for anyone out there with more experience on deploying Ensemble productions.

I'm currently trying to export my Ensemble production WITH the Business Partners so I don't have to rebuild or add to that table after I import my Ensemble Production. I know that this is a small thing and doesn't actually affect anything in the production in terms of performance, but I like to have it for better documentation.

I'm using a customised IRIS Community Edition Docker Container: Node.js has been added and the Native API for Node.js directory moved to a node_modules folder in /home/irisowner. I've changed the _SYSTEM password using the Management Portal (which connects to IRIS just fine)

If I shell into the running container and try to connect with a JS script file containing this:

Hello Hello,

I am building a patient room door signage for a customer who has Trakcare already deployed. The app will reflect patient's data upon admission in the hospital (eg. name, male/female, doctor, mrn, special diet, etc...)

When the patient is discharged, "something" will tell the app that the patient was discharged and the screen will be reset.

Appreciate any kind of direction and help.

Hi All,

I have a below query for which I need help.

I have a persistent class User.Cars.cls. The properties of this class is mapped through Global mapping with global (^CAR(Date,CarSerialno,Seq)).

Property CarNumber as %String (TRUNCATE=1) [SqlFieldName= CAR_Number];

Mapping of 5th Piece of ^CAR global to CarNumber property.

For e.g.^CAR(Date,CarSerialno,Seq)=1^2^3^4^BMW 4567^6^7

Change DefaultPort Ensemble

I was having trouble with some dimension based calculated members defined in Analyzer. They would work and then not work. At one point I had two identical calculated measures, same code, same specification and one would work and one would not. I was trying to set them up in "shared storage", that checkbox in the calculated member dialog that should allow the measures to be used across multiple pivots.

CPIPE

This is a tiny example of how to run a server command from within Caché / Ensemble / IRIS and get back the full output as seen in any server command shell.

QEWD-js

QEWD.js is a Node.js framework for REST APIs, interactive WebSocket and/or Ajax applications, capable of running as a monolithic application or split across MicroServices. Fully supports Cache, Ensemble and IRIS, allowing use of existing Cache ObjectScript code, Cache Objects and Cache SQL, but also allows the database to be abstracted as a persistent JSON / Document database.

PMML-Business-Operation

With this simple Business Operation, you can easily leverage your predictive models (saved as PMML) in a Production. There's both a generic BO and a utility method that allows you to generate dedicated operation / request / response classes.

Helps to generate fake/test data for development purposes

IDE extension that helps you detect and fix quality issues as you write code. Like a spell checker, this extension squiggles flaws so they can be fixed before committing code. You can get it directly from the VS Code Marketplace and it will then detect new bugs and quality issues as you code (ObjectScript and JavaScript)

Cache 5.02 License Error

Hi All,

We are using the InterSystems cache 5.02
We having 80 license unit but don't the reason 50 unit have been consumed (CSP unit)
This happen because of this page ran frequently "/apps/docmatic/%CSP.SysConnection.cls"
Can anyone explain why this page ran frequently and consume license?

Iterate over array of namespaces

How do you iterate over the array of namespaces returned in the result byref from the call below?

DO ##class(%SYS.Namespace).ListAll(.result)

Running "zw result" displays the namespaces (as individual subscripts in result) in the Terminal but I want to be able to programmatically iterate through each namespace name.

It is very common in the daily life of IRIS or Health Connect users that it is necessary to install new instances or update the ones they already have and in many cases it is not these same users who carry out the installation, but rather systems personnel who often do not take into account the particularities of the assignment of permissions necessary for the installation.

I am trying to log certain program data in my ObjectScript REST class, to track down a bug I have. I am comparing two values at runtime, and one result does one thing, and another a different thing. Since this is a REST API class, I have no way of seeing in real time what the value is to debug. I cannot simply run the method in debug in Studio as it will not run properly being a REST class method, nor have the correct incoming header data to correctly replicate what is happening in the API at runtime when being hit by client apps.
