Hello,

I've recently updated the python version of a linux server running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 (Ootpa). We have an instance 2023.1 running there, and whenever I run the $System.Pyhthon.Shell() I can see it's still pointing to the old version. From within linux, it runs the latest one (we've change all the links to the new 3.11, so no scripts are broken).

So I guess the problem comes from the fact irispython is still compiled using old python version. So, how can I do to force IRIS to use the current version on the server, or update the irispython file?

Hello,

Our team is working on building dashboard for internal reference and monitoring.

We would like to have details like Interface Name, Current Status, Last Messages Processed at, IP & Port, Serve/Instance/Production Environment name etc.

If there is any built-in service which we can utilize or any pre-compiled code that we can utilize to build such dashboard.

At this moment want to keep it basic, but moving forward will enhance with more advance features.

Please suggest, any help will be appreciated.

Hello everyone

I am new to cache. In an interview i was asked how to optimize a sql query.

I just said I will create index on conditions which are present in where clause. But as per interviewer I should check How query plan is getting executed. This will help in optimizing Sql queries.

I want to know what will be the answer for how to optimize SQL query in cache.

So I've got the IRIS AMI spun up in AWS EC2; it seems to be running fine.

I've added an EBS volume to it for persistent storage, and now I'm pondering how to make it actually do something useful.

What's the best way to do deploy code to this instance? I can think of a few ways to do it, but what's the least painful way? Push my code to an S3 bucket and figure out how to load it at system start? Github project?

I am using .net to connect to the cache database via ODBC, OdbcConnection connection = new OdbcConnection(dbConnection); connection.Open(); This error is reported when the link is opened, how should this be solved? Thank you very much!

Server-less incoming Web-hooks

Hi,

Recently I have encountered a new issue, more and more 3rd party applications move to the cloud.

Web-hooks incoming from their sites can no longer be identified using a known and fixed IP address, so our customer's security department blocks them.

In past similar cases we use to grant access in the customer's Fire-Wall to the specified IP address - this is no longer applicable.

Has anyone else encountered this problem ? do you have any ideas ?

Hi

Sometimes I have Atelier gettinng stuck on background task "Updating server container".

This maxes out one of the cpu cores and I end up having to kill the process. This is on version 1.3.139.

Trouble with comparison

Hi,

Somewhat weird behaviour in testing values in a resulting query.

I have a table where I need to read through a list of data, and apply a charge for matching occurrences. However, only ONE charge for one set of data. I have applied a DISTINCT function to the query, but as I cannot get a completely unique set, the DISTINCT function does not de-duplicate all of the sets.

I have therefore attempted to look for a value that if it repeats for the one data set, I can choose to skip the function that applies the charge.

I have below method , which receives a PDF ; this method throws error for a PDF file of 3MB size
