I was using PowerBI to create regular display data obtained from one popular web sourse with hundreds of thousands of visitors per month and a big number of users.
At the beginning of that visualisation development, I was using direct connection from Power BI to Adaptive Analytics powered by AtScale. Adaptive Analytics is useful for cached data, aggregates and fast data sources switching between development and stage phases. The “AtScale cubes'' connection method was used:
This article is aimed at developers implementing DICOM productions, specifically for cases with third-party endpoints that cannot handle the DIMSE timeout themselves.
Globals are the core of the InterSystems IRIS for data persistence. It is flexible, allowing store JSON documents, relational data, object oriented data, OLAP cubes and custom data models, like Mindmaps. To see how to store, delete and get mindmap data using globals, follow these steps:
1. Clone/git pull the repo into any local directory
I have created a package that offers a utility to load a Global into JSON object and reverse to create a Global from this type of JSON object. Compact refers to the structure created. Globals nodes are included with data for a fast data load. But also the related code is quite compact.
I will devote the third article to a story about the additional features of the project.
znamespace
Very often you need to find out if there is a specific package in the current instance, for example, so as not to duplicate.
To do this, I implemented a modification of the namespace command of the package manager, on the option tab, you need to press the FIND button.
I wanted to join the InterSystems Globals contest. I have worked with InterSystems globals more than twenty years and I consider myself an expert. I developed another money app for globals contest because I needed it. What I had created previously was not really that useful for me.
All of us know that money is important. We constantly need to monitor all expenses to avoid looking back to the bank statement and thinking: “So, where’s my money?”
In the main software development methodologies there is always a chapter dedicated to testing. It is a mandatory approach to achieving quality in deliveries on an ongoing basis.
In a previous article, I talked about the implemented package manager commands (generate, list, load).
In this article I want to talk about other commands.
repository
On the Option tab, you can see which current case is set and switch
Before this project, I built zpm packages almost by hand. I edited the module.xml file, inserted resources into it and copied the resources to disk, then checked the correctness of the assembly. I was tired of it and I decided to make this work easier for myself.
In this article, I will show you how to configure FHIR repository + OAuth2 authorization server/resource server on IRIS for Health following the previous article.
In Part 1, we introduced the preliminary preparations, configuring the OAuth2 authorization server, and obtaining the access token.
Part 2 will show you how to build an FHIR repository and configure an OAuth2 client/resource server.
The final day of the Hacking Health Camp 2022 in Strasbourg, France, is upon us and today we will see all the wonderful creations of the teams. They worked hard through the night and our teams onsite and online worked with them and answered their questions.
InterSystems IRIS Business Intelligence allows you to keep your cubes up to date in multiple ways. This article will cover building vs synchronizing. There are also ways to manually keep cubes up to date, but these are very special cases and almost always cubes are kept current by building or synchronizing.
Selective Build is a BI feature in InterSystems IRIS (introduced in version 2020.1). Selective Build allows you to build specific elements of your cube while keeping your cube online.
What is special about Selective Build?
Before getting into the details of Selective Build, a brief recap of the different phases during a regular cube build is important. Here are the phases in a regular cube build: 1) Delete existing data in cube 2) Populate cube with full set of data 3) Build all indices in the cube
IMPORTANT NOTE InterSystems no longer provides a separate InterSystems Reports Server container. To run containerized InterSystems Reports Server, use Logi Reports Server container and your InterSystems Reports Server license. Documentation.
InterSystems Reports is powered by Logi Report (formerly named JReport), a product of Logi Analytics. InterSystems Reports is supported by InterSystems IRIS and InterSystems IRIS for Health. It provides a robust modern reporting solution that includes:
Embedded operational reporting which can be customized by both report developers and end users.
Pixel-perfect formatting that lets you develop highly specific form grids or other special layout elements for invoices, documents, and forms.
Banded layouts that provide structure for aggregated and detailed data.
Exact positioning of headers, footers, aggregations, detailed data, images, and sub-reports.
A variety of page report types.
Large-scale dynamic report scheduling and distribution including export to PDF, XLS, HTML, XML, and other file formats, printing, and archiving for regulatory compliance.
InterSystems Reports consists of:
A report designer, which provides Design and Preview Tabs that enable report developers to create and preview reports with live data.
A report server which provides end users browser-based access to run, schedule, filter, and modify reports.
This article focuses on the Server part of InterSystems Reports and provides a guide on running Report Server in containers while persisting all the data.
I have created a package that offers a utility to load a Global into JSON object and reverse to create a Global from this type of JSON object. Efficient refers to the structure created. Only Globals nodes containing data are presented in the generated JSON object.
If one of your packages on OEX receives a review you get notified by OEX only own YOUR package. The rating reflects the experience of the reviewer with the status found at the time of review. It is kind of a snapshot and might have changed meanwhile. So if you did a major change and expect a changed review just let me know. Reviews by other members of the community are marked by * in the last column
This example demonstrates the difference you may experience when you write to Gllobals directly from Embedded Python compared to native ObjectScript.
To make this demo useful I start 2 background jobs that simply write sequentially to a dedicated global. A common control method signals for a synchronous start. Similar a common stop & view interrupts data feeding.
