I would like to integrate SQL into our ObjectScript routines in order to illustrate how SQL can be used to minimize development time. However, there are two questions I have.
How does one iterate through the results of a SELECT statement?
I have some issue with trigger. I have class where I defined 3 triggers (UPDATE, INSERT, DELETE). These triggers are Foreach = row/object. In my currently task, I need overide this triggers in children class. is It possible to do it?
I recently installed Eclipse and Atelier and was able to connect to my dev environment and source control. However, when I open a CSP file everything inside <script> tags shows up green as if it's a comment.
I looked through all the preferences but wasn't able to fix this. Has anyone else run into this and/or know a solution?
I have Caché/HealthShare installed in a local Ubuntu 16.04 LTS virtual machine. I've also installed Apache 2.4 from the apache2 bundle, and enabled SSL. I've configured Caché such that SSL/TLS is enabled on the SuperServer port but not required.
I am running a ZBREAK trace on a legacy FDBMS application that uses arrays but rather than displaying the array value contents, I am seeing logs similar to the following.
Trace: ZBREAK SET LINE=Array Val at BIOPWR+6^BIOPWR
I (really) spent hours on finding the maximum size a Global is allowed to be (for Windows, if that matters). All I seem to run into are database sizes (derived from a max number of blocks and block size), but I refuse to believe that is correct because too small to be realistic.
I have problem with index NULL value. Unique index doesn't work for this case. If I use insert and one of parameter is "NULL". Message of constraint doesn't appear and row is inserted into table successfully. How Can I use index with NULL?
We are looking at taking the HealthShare Health Connect HL7 Interface Specialistcertification exam, does anybody know if there is a test/example exam available? I found practice exams for the some of the other certifications but not for this exam?
A site has a Mirror set, and an Asynchronous DR. The disk drives for each of the instances are local disks and the databases are large (>2 TB)
The current backup strategy is started off as using Cache Backup and is still the case today, but the size and time it take t do the backup is obviously prohibitive.
Currently, I'm working with a Java Gateway, and I have the following problem. When importing a class into IRIS, which uses methods from a generic class, I can not find the general methods I need. I'm talking about the test2 method from the class test. How can I import the java method that returns a generic?
Hi,
We recover a large amount of data from an external database (SQLServer, about 1 million rows in JDBC). However, we have treatment time issue. This process takes more than 30 minutes whereas on a "classic" SQL Server Management Studio type request takes less than a minute.
With ECP we have the option to have a collection of Frontend instances All Frontend servers typically have a common Master in the background Concentrating data on the Master server is the primary goal.
As a side effect, this applies also to Classes, Routines, .. anything stored in Globals. This is probably not the most efficient setup. But rather common anyhow.
Is embedded Python code also stored in Globals?
What is the recommended solution for a similar installation?
I created the Process to extract the required data from ADT message to a Dynamic Object. I wanted to send the JSON stream to EnsLib.File.PassthroughOperation operation and generate a file with the content of JSON stream.
We recently went through an Audit of our Security Policies and Procedures when it comes to IRIS. As a result of that Audit, we need to make adjustments to the way that Security is setup within IRIS. I have already done my changes on our TEST and DEVELOPMENT environments, but now I am trying to plan out how do we make these changes in Production.
These changes include moving away from the PWS, setting up Apache/Web Gateway, moving to LDAP instead of using Delegated Authentication, updating Web Applications, updating Resources, updating Services, etc...
