Tutorial - Streams in Pieces

This tutorial is a follow on to Working with %Query
It was displaying the content of the input stream chopped in fixed-size chunks.
But often those streams are structured and have well-defined separators (e.g HL7)
So as a side subject of this tutorial, this chapter shows how to break a stream into PIECES.

It is exactly the same idea as the $PIECE() function for strings with some add-ons.

Tutorial - Working with %Query #2

My previous article introduced you to SQL based Basic Class Query
where a clever wizard created all the required code for you and your essential
contribution was an SQL statement.

Now we enter the real Custom Class Query that provides more freedom but
requires a deeper understanding of the mechanic behind the scene.
The full code example is again on GitHub

Hi Community,

Please read this when you have the time and keep an open mind. Also, you are welcome to tell me it is a terrible idea.

The main reason for this post

If you look at NPM, it has 1.3 million packages. Now ask yourself, is this an achievement or a nightmare?
How many of those packages are no longer supported?
How many of those packages break compatibility on version changes?
How do you know which one to use?

Global-Streams-to-SQL #2

Some technical background information

There is not just one class in this package: rcc.gstream.cls but also rcc.gstreamT.cls

While rcc.gstream works with direct access to the stream globals, the *T version uses
a Process Private Global (PPG) as Temporary storage.
using SELECT * FROM RCC.gstreamT WHERE RCC.useT('^jpgS')=1 and similar.

Questions MSM-Workstation

Hello, my name is Roger, I work in a big hospital in Brazil, I'm new to the MUMPS area, I was given an assignment to try to stabilize our MSM/MUMPS system, we have licenses for 1200 connections, however, the MSM starts having problems when we reach about 990 connections, the terminal has a timeout, it gets stuck. Looking at the MSM settings parameters I noticed the following default settings, could this be related?

Overview

Predictable storage IO performance with low latency is vital to provide scalability and reliability for your applications. This set of benchmarks is to inform users of IRIS considering deploying applications in AWS about EBS gp3 volume performance.

Summary

  • An LVM stripe can increase IOPS and throughput beyond single EBS volume performance limits.
  • An LVM stripe lowers read latency.

Today we have made the new CCR view page the default for CCR beta users.

The option to toggle back to the classic UI is available in the navigation bar at the top and bottom of the page.

Please let us know of any issues you encounter or general feedback you have on the page, and thank you to everyone who tried the page in its initial release and provided us with great feedback already!

Hi Community,

The day has arrived — InterSystems FHIR Healthtech Incubator Caelestinus Final Demo Day, November 30, 2022!

We started Caelestinus 8 months ago in March with 22 outstanding teams. Today 15 teams will pitch what they have achieved so far and their message to the market!

I’m pleased to invite everyone to InterSystems FHIR Health Tech incubator Caelestinus Demo Day, which will happen in a hybrid online/offline mode: you can watch pitches online via www.caelestinus.tech starting at 2 p.m. CET or go in-person in IKEM — Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine, the largest Czech medical research and clinical hospital.

Hello,

Thank you for reading this question, and thank you for your time and replies.

I was wondering which ways, tools, mechanisms, or vias would you recommend to teach to kids, teens, adults, being your sons / daughters or not; your passion or likelihood for programming and computers?

I know there are some programming free games like the following ones:

Starting today, we have release the new CCR view page to beta users!

As the view page contains a lot of functionality, we are giving users the ability to toggle their session between the new UI and the classic UI view pages. Your sessions will default to the classic UI for now, but beta users will see a "View in New UI" button in the nav bar for Tier 0 and 1 CCRs:

Similarly, the new UI page will have a "View in Classic UI" button at the top:

Hello,

First of all thanks for reading this post and thanks for replying:

I think it could be obvious or a little bit naive but I was wondering if a software developer needs as a must or should get his/her own personal laptop or computer, appart the one from their own bussiness or company?

What laptop or computer would you recommend for personal use? For general purpose: programming, leisure, surfing the net, etc.

Thanks for your replies.

Greetings.

We are ridiculously good at mastering data. The data is clean, multi-sourced, related and we only publish it with resulting levels of decay that guarantee the data is current. We chose the HL7 Reference Information Model (RIM) to land the data, and enable exchange of the data through Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®).

Hi Community,

Join us for an InterSystems Developer Meetup during TechCrunch Disrupt 2022!

We’ll be meeting on Wednesday, October 19th at Bartlett Hall, located at 242 O’Farrell St. (just a few short blocks from the Moscone Center) starting at 6 pm through 8:30 pm PT, where speakers will discuss how developers can bring the code to the data, not data to the code with Embedded Python and Integrated ML on InterSystems IRIS.

Food and drinks will be served accompanied by discussions.
