I want to serialize it into this XML:

<Person>
    <Id>1</Id>
    <Name>Ed</Name>
</Person>

Is it possible?

It's for the Visual Trace so I can't use %XML.Writer.

Hi-

I have a need to store a password in an object property of a User object.

What would be best practice for data type assigned to the "Password" property and securing that password against prying eyes, both just browsing the global as well as via SQL? Better yet, how can I prevent a specific property from being projected to SQL?

When I create a TASK on the Primary mirror member and Try to create the same TASK in the backup mirror member, It Gives me CSP Application error.

The TASK gets created in the Primary node without any errors and When creating in the Backup node it prompts the error.

It happens is IRIS and I didn't face this in CACHE.

Finally what I did is export the TASK in Primary and Imported in Backup.

Is this a feature of IRIS?

I have a BPL Business process which always processes messages - mainly it waits for responses since downstream systems are seriously async.

I need to update this process.

Wwould the existing instances of this Business Process complete correctly after the update?

My BPL changes would result in:

1. New S method in the Thread class
2. New OnResponse method in the context class

Both changes are in the middle of the process, so there are S/OnResponse methods before and after my change.

Newbie to working with silent installs. is there a variable to pass in what/where you want to place your journal files?

Quite a complex scenario we are trying to solve but should be able to understand.

We're developing a task executer that runs on a server with a certain timezone.

The tasks run every day at a defined time, but in different timezones.

We're saving in database at what time we want to execute the task, and in what timezone (don't go to the save in UTC pitfall, as with DST it will be at different times)

What I want to do if when opening a task from the database, convert 02:00 Europe/Madrid, either to UTC or to local (server) time.

I am looking for a way to find all properties defined in any given class through coding, including those inherited from parent class(s). In case of inherited properties, I would like to know from which class etc.

A related question: XML adaptor provides a way to export xml schema for a class. Is there a similar method for JSON adaptor to generate a JSON schema for a class?

Does any one could tell me how can I access the target properties from inside SQL in DTL Subtransform? For example, if I use the following statement:

SELECT ID INTO :target.SetIDPID FROM firstlook.person WHERE FirstName = 'Paul' - as said in documentation :

I get an Error: ERROR <Ens>ErrException: <PROPERTY DOES NOT EXIST>

Is there a way, given a %CSP.SessionEvents subclass, to simply return an HTTP 403 error status from OnStartRequest?

If I return an error %Status from the method, it'll go to the error page; if I don't, it's always a 200 OK and the page continues to render.

This might be a dumb question but I didn't see anything about it in the Mirroring documentation. Are processes that are currently running when the primary fails over to the secondary automatically switched over and continue processing? Or are they terminated and would need to be restarted on the secondary?
