A question has come up that I am not finding the answer for.... Does the daily purge process re-index EnsLib.HL7.SearchTable or other SQL tables? In looking at the purge process documentation I am not seeing anything that mentions EnsLib.HL7.SearchTable. Do we have to manually constantly re-index tables that we create? For example I created another search table based off of EnsLib.HL7.Search table, will I need to constantly watch this as it grows? How do tables get index, is there some kind of mechanism that automatically does it, or are we responsible for indexing tables ourselves?
Is there a way for us to restrict user's ODBC permissions based on what program they're running on a client?
For example, we have some older Windows apps (.exe) that are a regular part of our software package which require the user to be able to select, insert, update, and delete. Some of our users are also using other third-party apps to connect (mostly reporting tools) but we only want them to be able to select unless we've approved the exe. Is there a way to do that?
These are not applications that were developed using CacheDirect.
I am Converting HL7 message into SDA3 format by using Ens.DataTransform Class but transformation is not happening while using this class and throwing the below error

I have two tables: one a local table using cache and the other is via an SQL gateway connection to an MSSQL Server via a 64bit ODBC driver (ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server).
When I try to join them on a date field I don't get any matches, and I know that there are matches, e.g. running both views separately returns resuls for 30/11/2022.
The following statement returns rows for the first table r, but nothing for the table l
Let's supposed somebody updates routines via %RCOPY or %RI, the really old-style hardcore way which still works. Does that leave any log traces in Journaling or system globals, as of when exactly did it happen or what was the IP address of the machine changes came from? I am aware only of the Date Modified changes as seen when opening the file.
I need to mount a database from another system. We have copied a device from another systems and mounted the device. I want to mount the cache database on this new device to our current instance of cache. If I add the name and path of this new device to the cpf file, the instance fails to start stating the database does not exist. If I attempt to create the database via the management portal, the new device is not accessible. I am missing something but I am not sure what it is. What do I need to do to make the imported device accessible by my cache instance?
We are retiring a hosted application for an electronic health care records (EHR) system which stored the data on Cache for UNIX (Red Hat Enterprise Linux for x86-64) 2017.2.2 (Build 867_4_20245) Thu Oct 8 2020 16:58:40 EDT. The hosting company is providing me with a single CBK file. I need to install a database system to restore the database and provide occasional SQL access for reports when necessary. I'll need to maintain access to the data for an approximately 10 year retention period. Not sure how to approach restoring this old of a database and eventually upgrading it to a newer re
With the growing popularity of smart phones and tablet computers, consumers are coming to expect that software solutions will be presented as "apps" on their mobile devices. The challenge for most application developers is to find ways to make their existing solutions run on modern mobile platforms without incurring the delay and cost of a complete rewrite.

I want to do some logic based on what environment code is running in. I can't find a built-in function to retrieve this so I'd like to write a custom function. Does anyone know of a command that would get the current environment?
Hello everyone! I need to transform a String, which is a numerical value, to an Integer. The value gets returned in my Rest service as "testingID": "1234567", but I need it to be "testingID": 1234567
Thanks beforehand! Appreciate all the help I can get! :)
A partner have decided to change the algorithms that were used to connect on it's SFTP, but our version of libssh2 don't match with the list of it's HOSTKEYS algorithms.
If i update the library with the last version without to be sure that it includes the old algorithms, i risk to break the connection for other cases.
Could any one tell me, how the index works in cache db, Consider for example, I have a table called "Employee" and the fields as "EMPID, EMPNAME, EMPAGE" and I am having index for EMPID as IDX_EMPID and trying to get the record using the following query as
I ran into two issues with Cache to XML Export and Cache to JSON Export in regard to array sequences. So before I waste time opening a WRC ticket, I figured I would poll the Development Community, since there is always so much wonderful feedback and suggestions via this Developer Community! So much thanks in advance for everyone's input! Go Team!
