If given a global, how can I discover information on that global? More specifically, how can I discover how many indices it contains? ie: ^G(1,2,3,4,5) How can I discover that there are 5 subscripts within the Global ^G if I did not already know.

Hi,in my rule i want to compare a value wich i extract from a file if it's inside in my interval values or no, example:

date1<value>date2

is there any function in rule editor that allow me to do this.

I installed "Atelier" plugin and write sample routine. But I am unable to save it and run it .Please guide me how do I solve this issue.

InterSystems IRIS supports publish and subscribe message delivery. Publish and subscribe refers to the technique of routing a message to one or more subscribers based on the fact that those subscribers have previously registered to be notified about messages on a specific topic.

This article demonstrates how several InterSystems IRIS capabilities can work together:

• Publish/Subscribe
• Email
• Workflow
• Alerts
• PPG (that's general capability though)

In this article we would send emails about:

• New workflow tasks
• Unassigned workflow tasks
• Uncompleted workflow tasks
• Ensemble alerts

Email recipients would be determined using Publish/Subscribe operation and each user would receive only digest email whenever possible.

As you know there are two (at least) ways to get the stored value of the property of InterSystems IRIS class if you know the ID of an instance (or a record).

1. Get it by as a property of an instance with "Object access":

2. Get it as a value of a column of the record with "SQL access":

We're doing a small data integration project at our university and I've run into a problem.

I'm trying to make a counter that records the amount of messages (a simple .txt file transfer) that pass through a process and dumps that amount into a text file (preferably with a timestamp) every 10 minutes or so.

What I've gathered it's possible to do it via SQL query but linking that query into a process is something I haven't found any info on.

Are there any semi-beginner friendly ways to do this?

We have a development instance of cache that was installed and the person that installed and set it up is no longer here. We have no id's that we have the passwords for. I have brought the database up in emergency mode and I can get access thru the terminal using my emergency id but I do not know how to add a user/password thru the terminal. Can someone enlighten me or point me to documentation that I haven't found yet.

Is there a way to graphically edit BPL processes, or do we still need to use Studio for doing that?

Looking at the documentation, it appear there should be an Atelier BPL editor option available under Open With, but all I have is Atelier Class, HTML, INT, and MAC editors.

There is a BPL editor in the list, but it throws a "Bad editor input" error when trying to open the class file.

I have a SQL procedure that I call into and it does some processing and passes back any data validations that fail. I would like to receive those message in my operation and act upon the message received .The question is how do you get output messages from a stored procedure I am using MsSQL 2012 with ensemble

I am working on my first REST operation concept and had a question about the Property Parameters. If I put a value in CAPTION, does that mean that when I use it in my call that it will come out in the URL?
