Hello,

I am interested in working with a third-party API in my instance of the Community Portal. I was curious as to how you all work with third-party apis. Do you typically connect directly from within a ZEN Mojo Page or do you route the request through an operation in the management portal? Are there any sort of best practices I should be aware of?

Caché on new hardware

Do we need to buy a new Caché license? Or can we keep using the one we have?

Hi,

We are developing a .NET6 application using Iris database. We would like to use ORM for easier code maintenance.

I saw a doc about Entity Framework: https://docs.intersystems.com/iris20231/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=BNET_eframe, but even it's newest Iris version, the Entity Framework is very old .NET Framework (2013) and not supported by Microsoft anymore. Are there any plans to support Entity Framework Core?

How to overload methods in ObjectScript

Hi,

I trying to find out the procedure to kill off a currently printing Cache job.

The user wants to cancel the job as they put the wrong start date. The start date was set to be generated from the default date of 1 Jan 1900.

As the start date was such a long time ago, the report generation would take a long time.

I think the printing uses this "production" on the print server:

Report.Print.Service.CachePrintService

I have a query:

The query returns all rows where Material->Sifra is 5 or 7. That's OK.

If I want to get all rows where Material->Sifra is NOT 5 or 7 I use query:

Has anybody tried to write custom code to empty out queues when Interoperability shuts down? We run IRIS in Kubernetes cluster and we have compute pods scaling up and down. We have Message Bank operation to keep all messages in one place. We want to see all messages in Message Bank.

Hey Developers,

We have a requirement to develop SOAP webservice from existing wsdl. Consumers are currently consuming existing soap webservice exposed by other provider.

We need to implement same SOAP service in ensemble as consumers should not see any difference except endpoint url.

Here we need to develop SOAP service form existing WSDL, which is possible in java. Is it possible in ensemble?

Could you please give me some hints to way forward.

SQLGateWay performance.

I have a ZEN page with nine tablepanes. Each tablepane queries a table in the same SQLServer db. I have a single SQLGateWay(odbc) to this SQLServer db. I need to get better performance when I query all nine table at the same time. Would my performance improve if I had nine SQLGateWays(nine odbc configurations/connections), one for each query? I would appreciate any and all suggestions for getting the very best performance when using SQLGateWays. Thank you.

Hi all,

I'm very new to this ecosystem so please bear with me:

I've startted learning online and have installed everything I need. I have VS code and I have most definitely installed the pack (3 packages) needed for working on it with ObjectScript. Even though this is the case I'm running into 2 problems:

1. when I type "class" I only get 4 option for auto complete. no "class with multiple inheritances" or anything of the sort. In fact, no Class at all, only ClassMethod. ClassResponse etc.

I've created an Object Gateway via the System Management Portal, and installed the following Java classes to allow connectivity between the IRIS server and RabbitMQ ...

I've used the Java Gateway wizard via Studio and compiled the java classes that this would refer to, and a quick test worked on Day 1. However, on Day 2, on trying to connect, I got this error :

I'm receiving a JSON payload via a REST API, I'd like to %JSONImport this stream into a class which extends %JSON.Adaptor. The problem is that the JSON is an array whose elements have no key (as you can see in the example JSON below). Right now I'm having to do some manipulations to convert the stream into a dynamic object and do a %Set which inserts a made up key "record" so "thingone" and "thingtwo" have an associated key that I can use when referencing "thingone" and "thingtwo"...such as record.GetAt(1).thingone

I am reading file values by position with comma-separated string and it gives me incorrect values on the below line because there is a comma within double quotes within a string.

I would like to remove any text that has quotes with object script or alternatively separate each value with pipe-delimited so that I can return position 8 as code and position 9 as a description
