Hello, I'm new to Ensemble, and my first task is to become familiar with the Production and create a basic outline of it for the users to view (which servers, where are the input files, where are the output files, how many records...). What are the Production tables? I'd like to start there.

Hacking up Sample upload.csp and was wondering if you can get the drive letter and director (on a Windows system) on the file that is picked?

I cannot find anything on MIMEDATA, such as FileName, Size, MemSection, etc that can do this.

I'm having a problem when I'm attempting to freeze the instance.

I have a pre-script and post-script to freeze and unfreeze the instance, but when the script execute:

 csession INSTANCE_NAME -U '%SYS' "##Class(Backup.General).ExternalFreeze(\"$SNAPLOG\",,,,,,1800)"

It's give me this error and fails the freeze:

Backup.General.ExternalFreeze: Failed, Unable to switch local journal file, Error: -99,ERROR #1142: Error switching journal file: 0

One of the REST APIs we need to call takes one of request parameter as a byte array. I am trying to create a message class and couldnt figure out which is equivalent type that corresponds to Byte[]. I need to read from a jpg file and then convert it to byte[] before i invoke this webservice. Appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction. I can use %Stream.FileBinary class to store the jpg file after loading from a file. trying to figure out how to convert that to byte[].

I'm trying to build my project on a Linux machine using Docker.

In my development environment, I use Windows 10 Pro with Docker Desktop version 2.3.0.5. Everything works fine, and the docker-compose build runs flawlessly.

But, when I tried to run the same project in a Linux.

Eventually, I would like to format like below:

I have a user with %All, and a user with %Admin_Task. The %All user can use SQL to view the %SYS_Task.HIstory table. The user with %Admin_Task does not have the privileges to see the same table.

What priv (or privs) is (or are) needed to view the %SYS_Task.History table? I just want to start with 'Select * from %SYS_Task.History'.

I've tried %Admin_Manage and %Admin_Operate. I must be close.

Customer is using an ancient MSM based client Workstation for their application and they made a small change to their server code. They introduced property of %Double() and discovered an issue. The MSM workstation is not able to retrieve any property of an object instance that holds value of $double(0). see images illustrating the issue.

I'm posting this to DC intentionally before I eventually send it to WRC so others can comment.

I would like to Compact globals in a database to free up space.

I would begin the process on Saturday morning, but am concerned, due to the size, that it would not complete by Sunday evening. I understand that the process is setup so that it can run with users on the system, however, as the advice indicates, this would not be ideal.

Can the process be stopped if it does not complete by the time you want/need it to?

Do you know how to guestimate how long the process would take?

I have frequently received this below error message in my ensemble 2009 Cconsole log.

" 11/08-13:05:06:114 (9784) 2 Skipping SET due to compare and swap failed on ^["^^e:\test\data\"]Debug("CalcTotal1") for records in e:\test\data\ addr=39745548 "

Please explain this, am very much trouble with this alert. And also want to know it will cause any system hangsup ?

Does the Caché installer do all of the necessary setup for using Atelier when upgrading a pre-Atelier instance?

I just upgraded an Ensemble 2016.1 instance to 2016.2 and the /api/atelier web application wasn't created automatically. Aside from creating this web application is there anything else that needs to be done to support Atelier?

** UPDATE **
See my comment below -- this was caused by a permissions problem during the upgrade. After fixing the permissions problem and upgrading again Atelier works.
