InterSystems Developer Community is a community of 26,083 amazing developers
We're a place where InterSystems IRIS programmers learn and share, stay up-to-date, grow together and have fun!

Presenter: Saurav Gupta
Task: Provide customized authentication support for biometrics, smart cards, etc.
Approach: Provide code samples and concept examples to illustrate various custom authentication mechanisms

Description: In this session we will discuss customized way to solve various authentication mechanism and show case some sample code.

Problem: Using custom Authentication mechanism to support devices like biometrics, smart cards, or create an authentication front end for existing applications.

Solution: Code samples and concept examples.

Presenter: Misha Bouzinier
Task: Gain an understanding of natural language processing and the current state of the art
Approach: Discuss how InterSystems iKnow technology fits into the NLP ecosystem and complements the output of other components such as Lucene and Stanford NLP tools

A 101 session on Natural Language Processing that positions Intersystems tools in the broader ecosystem Problem: we’ve been touting “unstructured data” for five years, but many people both internally and externally still don’t know what it means to “process natural language” in general and how iKnow and our upcoming UIMA capabilities fit in this NLP ecosystem. This session will describe what a number of common technologies offer and how bare-bone NLP output typically needs to be complemented with more classic analytics or inference tooling to get the value out.

Presenter: Kerry Kirkham
Task: Prevent application-to-application interface problems from escalating
Approach: Give examples of using alerts to get the right person working on a problem as soon as possible

Problems with application-to-application interfaces are inevitable but in most cases they can be fixed with little disruption as long as the right person gets to know about it as soon as possible. But delays in attention cause problems to escalate, pressure mounts and business suffers. This session looks at how monitoring and alerting can be set up to recognize problems and get the right person working on the problem in the shortest possible time so that small problems don’t turn into major issues.

Solution: Using alerts to minimize interface problems

Hi all,

I am trying to establish an HTTPS connection to a server using a %Net.HttpRequest object. I'm able to ping and curl the server via command line. The issue I am running into is that I am able to establish a connection, but something seems to be going wrong with verification from the server side. For example, if I use the CheckSSLCN method on the server, it returns this error message

ERROR #6155: Unable to verify SSL/TLS connected to correct system as no SSL certificate present for this socket. */

Hi, I was wondering if anyone already dealt with this issue:
"System has been suspended for over X seconds, exceeding the maximum duration specified. Allowing system activity to resume. Any ongoing backup has presumably failed. Next InterSystems IRIS backup must be a full one"

our backup system "Commvault" is automatic, how do you tell it once you get this message that the next backup should be full?

thanks,

Eyal

Hello Community,

I've created my FHIR patient profile and POST into FHIR endpoint in Intersystems FHIR Server.

http:localhost:52773/fhirr4/StructureDefinition

I use the profile url into my Patient resource without the meet the profile requirements.

http:localhost:52773/fhirr4/Paient

The resource is stored successfully in the FHIR Server instead of a FHIR exception.

Why the resource doesn't validate with the mentioned profile?

Hey Community!

There are occasions when you really need to get in touch with a member of our Community a.k.a. author of a post or developer of a particular project, to discuss something, catch up, or whatever. And exactly for this reason, we have Direct Messages where you can send a message directly to a specific person or even have a group chat!

Hi *,

I want to dynamically generate the arguments of a method during compile time.

'For example, I want the following method

ClassMethod DoCleverStuf() As %Status [ CodeMode = objectgenerator ]
{
    do %code.WriteLine("    Set tSC = $$$OK")
    ...
}

to look like this in the .int code.

ClassMethod DoCleverStuf(pValue1 As %Integer, pValue2 As %String) As %Status [ CodeMode = objectgenerator ]
{
    // some generated code will be here
}

Is this possible? Or alternativel;y, can I generate a whole method at compile time?

Thanks.

In Cache 2018, we were using a macro in a query that looked like this:

select $$GetExtraSQL^GetExtra('B',bddtl.odnumb,bddtl.odsnum,bddtl.oddsc1) as "Description", * from sqluser.bddtl

We could save that query as a view, and there was no problem with it.

In IRIS, if we put that query into SQL in the management portal, it still works, but if we save that query as a view, when we try to run a query on that view, we get a big error message:

Hello,

I am new to this forum. So please let me know if this is not the place to post these questions.

I have heard from some previous Intersystems presentations that FHIR profile validation before posting to FHIR server (using $validate) would be available in IRIS for Health. How do I confirm if this functionality is available and if so, on which version of IRIS?

Thanks

Is there any way to change the sql Shell interface to output a <TAB> between the fields instead of outputting one or more spaces between columns

I needed to run an sql ( that took a while to run) and then cut and paste the generated output into excel, trouble was the paste into excel was not very good for columns when there's spaces used between the columns

Cache SQL question

I have a table with 4 column: MRN (primary key), Name, DOB, and Gender. I want to bring in the values on all of the columns into a DTL. Currently, I declare variables for each of the columns and using 3 select statements.

I have been tasked with setting up outage notifications to my group (for example, sending an email or automatically generating a problem incident when HealthShare/Ensemble experiences an outage), and determining outage statistics (for example, the time frame when HealthShare/Ensemble was unavailable). I admit I am having a hard time even defining what should be considered an “outage”.

Providing a reliable infrastructure for rapid, unattended, automated failover

Technology Overview

Traditional availability and replication solutions often require substantial capital investments in infrastructure, deployment, configuration, software licensing, and planning. Caché Database Mirroring (Mirroring) is designed to provide an economical solution for rapid, reliable, robust, automatic failover between two Caché systems, making mirroring the ideal automatic failover high-availability solution for the enterprise.
