searching messages in our Message Bank is quite slow, often runs into timeout.
I wanted to perform a tune table on Ens_Enterprise_MsgBank.MessageHeader because this apparently has not been done yet - the Tune Table utility shows no entries for selectivity, etc.

This is not an issue in ObjectScript, due to its typeless nature. But it's essential for external programming languages that care a bit more about types of variables.

I'm getting wrapped around the axle with CAST and CONVERT and can't seem to find a way to do this (short of adding a stored procedure wrapping $zdt($zdth(posix,-2),3), which I'm refusing to do on principle, because there has to be some way to make this work).
I am calling a stored procedure over an ODBC connection and every time I call it there are several warnings written to the log event {Found no Parameter 1 (used as 1) for query}.I seem to be getting this on every query executed and that seems to happen a number of times the query parameters are per query and its filling up my disc.
1) Is there a way to suppress these warnings as the query seems to be executed and data written to the database?

Recently our team have been getting requests to pickup a large amount of data from API nightly (e.g. using ODATA to loop through pages) and placing that into MS SQL databases.
My question is, what is considered the best practice to get data from API and route to external SQL database WITHOUT persisting any messages/traces etc?
I'm using an embedded SQL statement with a a cursor-based Embedded SQL query that uses host variables in the where clause, however, what I'm doing doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help?
Use case: small in-house hospital systems that query patient demographics via SQL. The new PAS being implemented in the near future will only support query/response via HL7. SQL access is available but intended for reporting so up to 24 hours behind.
Probably the easiest option is to set up a database in Ensemble and keep it up to date via standard ADT feed. This is going to have quite a large footprint and has a risk of getting out of sync.

I'm stuck at this point: INSERT INTO <table> (columns...) VALUES (.....) allows having not just simple column references but also ALL Standard SQL FUNCTIONS (at least) example:

Hi all, I try to build a little project for the dataset contest, you can find it here on github: Openflights dataset My plan is to use just plain SQL. So I've made a few experiments with the new feature LOAD DATA.
When for any particular reason I need to update a record and don't want to pull the triggers, the keyword %NOTRIGGER can be used. But I've been trying to do the same when I change the row using the object approach, but I can't find it. Anyone knows if it's possible to avoid pulling triggers when working with objects?
Sadly, the utility "DISABLE^%NOTRIGGER" doesn't seem to exist ;-)
We have a need to track Database changes over time - down to the SQL level of granularity if possible. Such as: User xyz runs routine ^abc and we get something similar to a changelog that tells us: table A had this value updated, insert, update etc....
Is that possible using IRIS level tools (Audit Log, Journal File, etc...) , is there a way to convert the global sets and kills from the journals into SQL level changes?
