This is a consequence of work being done by the VS Code team to improve Find in Explorer.

Symptoms without proposed APIs:

Note the continual clock badge and progress bar.

With proposed APIs enabled you will require v2.12.9-beta.4 or later, otherwise the find runs but returns no results.

See https://github.com/intersystems-community/vscode-objectscript/issues/14… for more information.

In this article, we’ll dive into the inner workings of the database management tool, exploring the architecture and technologies that power it. Understanding how the application functions behind the scenes will give you insight into its design, how it manages databases, tables, and how the API interacts with data.

We will discuss the core technologies used, including InterSystems IRIS as the primary database and Redis for caching. Additionally, we’ll break down the structure of the tables used and explain how the system handles data creation, retrieval, and manipulation through the REST API.

You might know that you can search posts in DC by Tags
starting in left upper  corner   and

that's fine to start. But - based on some local feedback - some improvements
might make is more useful. actual the SELECT works .. IF TAGS CONTAIN %tag
This spams you with a lot of results but often much more than useful
so the suggestions for extensions:

  • ... IF TAGS CONTAINS ONLY %tag   // for 1 specific Tag
  • ... IF TAGS CONTAIN  (%tag1,%tag2,%tag3,...)    // several specific tags
  • ... IF TAGS NOT CONTAIN   (%tag4,%tag5)         // exclude unwanted content

As you may know, our Developer Community AI has been out for over a month now 🎉 We hope you were curious enough to give it a try 😁 If you haven't yet, please do! Anyway, since it's still in beta, we're very interested in learning what you think about it, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences.

Since we value your time and effort, we will give away a cute prize to a random member of the Community who shares how DC AI helped you. To participate in this sweepstakes, you have to follow the guidelines:

As a part of the IRIS Python 2024 contest, my colleague Damir and I went with an idea to build a platform called ShelterShare for connecting victims and volunteers for shelter requests . To do so we chose django as a framework and proceeded to build the first version with 3 different docker containers, django, iris and nginx which would then utilize IRIS as a pure Database engine via the beautifly composed django_iris (cudos to Dimitry). As we were progressing fast, we decided to explore the option of running it within the same container as IRIS by utilizing WSGI added in 2024.1.

Hi Community!

I was recently asked my opinion of the GitHub Copilot. Since I haven't tried it myself, I decided to do some research 😀 And what better place to do it other than on the Developer Community 😜

So, I get the idea in general. AI and machine learning algorithms offer real-time code suggestions, automate repetitive tasks, and help developers write code more efficiently. That sounds pretty good. It should increase productivity, reduce the number of errors, and help in learning. But there is definitely a dark side to this. Sometimes, even code completion makes me blow a gasket.

In our previous article, we have explored the most common Kubernetes components:

  • We started with the pods and the services we needed to communicate with each other.
  • Then, we examined the  Ingress component used to Route traffic into the cluster.
  • We also skimmed through an external configuration using ConfigMaps and Secrets.
  • Afterward, we analyzed Data persistence with the help of Volumes.
  • Finally, we took a quick look at pod blueprints with such replicating mechanisms as Deployments and StatefulSets (the latter is employed specifically for such stateful applications as databases).

In this article, we will explore Kubernetes architecture and configuration.

I am working on a Zen page that has a table pane with the maxRows set to a default value. My customer is coming back with the following request of making that value bigger & begs the question whether the new value can be configurable. I looked @ the documentation, and forgive me if I missed, and I couldn't find anywhere that it can. Am I wrong? Thanks.
