Exciting news for developers using GitLab for their InterSystems applications repositories! Open Exchange has expanded its support to include GitLab, allowing you to submit your projects just as easily as you would do with GitHub repos. 

Submitting Your GitLab Repo app on Open Exchange:

1. Start by navigating to Open Exchange and log in to your account.
2. Head to the "Submit Application" 
3. In the "GitHub/GitLab URL" field, include the link to your open GitLab repository.
4. Make sure to check the "Use GitHub/GitLab README as long description" checkbox.

Introduction

Problem

Motivation

AI has made document search remarkably powerful. Question and answering over docs has never been easier with open-source tools like Chroma and Langchain to store and use vector embeddings to query across Generative AI APIs.

Introduction

A password manager is an important security tool that allows users to store and manage their passwords without the need to remember or write them down in insecure places. In this article, we will explore the development of a simple password manager using the Flask framework and the InterSystems IRIS database.

Key Features

Our password manager application will provide the following key features:

1. User registration with account creation.
2. User authentication during login.
3. Adding new passwords with a title, login, and password.

Technology Strategy

When I started this project I had set myself limits:
Though there is a wide range of almost ready-to-use modules in various languages
and though IRIS has excellent facilities and interfaces to make use of them
I decided to solve the challenge "totally internal" just with embedded Python, SQL, ObjectScript
Neither Java, nor Nodes, nor Angular, PEX, ... you name it.
The combination of embedded Python and SQL is preferred. ObjectScript is just my last chance.

Is there a API specification for the ZPM / IPM package manager for anybody that would like to implement their own registry?

Programming and languages

Being a programmer nowadays is basically the geek version of being a polyglot. Of course, most of us here, in the InterSystems Community, “speak ObjectScript”. Howeever, I believe this wasn’t the first language for many people. For instance, I had never heard about it prior to getting the appropriate training at Innovatium.

In recent years, artificial intelligence technologies for text generation have developed significantly. For example, text generation models based on neural networks can produce texts that are almost indistinguishable from texts written by humans.
ChatGPT is one such service. It is a huge neural network trained on a large number of texts, which can generate texts on various topics and be matched to a given context. 

A new task for people is to develop ways to recognize texts written not only by people but also by artificial intelligence (AI).
