Would like to know if there is an alternative or better way to paginate through a dataset using dynamic SQL than what I am using below. The problem is that as the potential pool of data gets larger, this code slows down to the point of not being useable. In analyzing each line of code below, it appears the slow down is related to the initial rset.%Next() iteration. Is there anything available which does not require a subquery/%VID such as a simple LIMIT/OFFSET?

My code is similar to :

Suppose you have a Caché class with %String property which contains relatively large text (from 10 to 2000 symbols).

The class:

Class Test.Duplicates Extends %Persistent 

{

Property Text As %String (MAXLEN = 2000);

}

And you have thousands of entries.

What are the best options to find entries which are duplicates on this property?

As you know there are two (at least) ways to get the stored value of the property of InterSystems IRIS class if you know the ID of an instance (or a record).

1. Get it by as a property of an instance with "Object access":

ClassMethod GetPropertyForID(stId As %Integer) As %String

return obj.StringData

}

2. Get it as a value of a column of the record with "SQL access":

I have a lot of string properties, which need custom but similar Getters and Setters.

Currently I'm generating Getter and Setter in class generation code but that expands class definition.

Is there a way to specify custom datatype which would generate custom getters and setters?

I'm saving object instance using RestForms.

RESTFormsUI calls %Save() for me, which is great. But I want to set the property CreationDate with the current date for every new record being inserted.

I would to know, I have a drop down list items in my applications. While, am clicking on the drop down bx, there are few numbers of listed items, while am doing mouse over action, I should display the entire text of selected item from that drop down list box, even am not selecting that item. I would like to know about the what is exact text it contains in Zen framework.

Can anyone provide some sample in ObjectScripts to import a tab separate txt file into a SQL table? I checked the document, there are two available classes, %SQL.Import.Mgr and %SQL.Until.Procedures, which one is better choice?

I am running the latest version of Cache and am trying to use the Config.* classes in the %SYS namespace to be able to gather information from a cache.cpf file that was provided to me by a customer. The customer is running an older version of Cache which had a different Version number in the cpf file. Theirs is 2013.1 and mine is 2015.1.

My question is, are the Config.* classes backwards compatible. Can I use a 2017.1 version of Cache to read information from cpf file from a 2014 system?

Is there a way to pull a user name and password from the Credentials list that is kept in Ensemble? Right now I have a LDAP user that I have hard coded into my ZAUTHENTICATE, which I would like to get away from. I am not to familiar with settings Global, or calling them at least.
