How to receive the response in the Body when sending file using restful post method.

I am sending a file in Postman and receiving a status 200OK. but i need to get the response in the body too. I have Implemented the class %CSP.REST to get the %request and %response. There is no default method to invoke and post the content via %Response class. Can any one suggest me the sample code for that.

Incrementing Session ID through BPL

I have several BPL's that act like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) where they are transferring data. When I do this they are all being written under 1 session id, is it possible to make the BPL create multiple session ID's as it is cycling through a Snapshot, so it is easier to read in the trace?

zw obj, but this does not work if I want to put it inside a string.

Is it possible to call classmethod of a current class from method generator?

Here's my code (download):

Class Utils.Generators [ Abstract ]
{

ClassMethod B()
{
    s ^a = 1
}

ClassMethod A() [ CodeMode = objectgenerator, GenerateAfter = B, PlaceAfter = B ]

    do ..B()
}

Now, obviously for it to work I need method B compiled and ready to use before compiling method A().

Unable to store (or rather retrieve) OREF in globals - Trying to create a Singleton Class.

We are trying to create a simple class extending %RegisteredObject that could be used as a singleton. However we are not able to store it in a global to later be retrieved (by the same process but elsewhere in the code).

Is there a way to rebuild indices for all the classes in a given namespace?

I'm moving *D globals from DatabaseA to DatabalseB.

After importing globals I need to rebuild indices for all the imported persistent classes.

Colleagues, maybe you know one command which does it for all the classes in Namespace?

I am trying to transform an Enlib.EDI.XML.Document through aXLT I know how to trans form the xml document through a xlt stylesheet but been trying to get an Enlib.EDI.XML. EnsLib.SQL.Snapshot - Limitation of RowCount???

We are trying to convert some of our SQL Service Integration Service jobs from Visual Studio to Ensemble. If we execute a Stored Procedure within SQL Server Management Studio it is returning approx 12,000 rows. However when Ensemble executes the same Stored Procedure it is only returning 250 rows.

Is there a limitation to EnsLib.SQL.Snapshot?

Cache List Of Objects Connection

Hi Guys,

I' am using Cache Object Binding for .NET, our Cache Version is Cache for Windows (x86-64) 2010.2 (Build 454U).

How can I set the connection for Cache List of Objects? Here is my sample code.

Custom file pass through Operation writing out unreadable pdf files

I have a service that takes a file and pass it through to the production .While I am passing the file through I get the file stream and set it to a variable within my message and the variable is of type %Ens.StreamContainer. But after all processing and I need to write out my file to a pdf format The file gets written but is a corrupt file since I can not read it I have tried this with asimple pass through everything is fine .But here I do not know what I am doing wrong here is the operation code

How to project a null property to an empty XML element?

Hi folks,

One of my clients want to project a null property of a cache object to an empty XML element. Say, if we have a class:

Class Diabetes.BS.Message.LabReportMessage Extends Ens.Request
{

Property Report As %String;

Property IsRisky As %Boolean;

Property RiskValue As %String ;

}

If the instance of this class has a null RiskValue, after projection, they want the XML as following:

Comparing Cache-Objects

Hi guys,

is there an easy way to compare two objects in os?

Example:

I have a registered order-object at runtime. Now I want to call a specific export-service just in the case that sth in this order has changed since the last export. So I have to compare the persisted order-object (last export) with the current order-object.

Ist there an easy way to compare these two objects or do I have to check each object-value separately?

How to make an array of Objects property use index to find rows with low cost

I have a class that has a property calledTags (like DescriptiveWords, but tags), where multiple tags are possible. I am trying to decide on list of Objects vs. array of Objects.

Based on this post: https://community.intersystems.com/post/querying-list-property-sql, sounds like using an array of Objects is the better way to go. Indeed, I already noticed that it's not possible to have duplicates when using an array of Objects.

Fastest way to strip invalid characters from stream

A method to convert certain non-readable ASCII characters in a %Stream.FileCharacter object first copies it into a %Stream.FileBinary object and then loops through each character one at a time to find and convert these offensive characters to our interpretation of their readable ASCII equivalents . The loop is sequential (while 'bStream.AtEnd) and is taking too long for large files.

parsing xml to list of object issue

hi,

1. Created a class(test) and added a classmethod(checkdata).

2. Assigned a object with xml.

3. Created a new class for response and initialized in classmethod(checkdata).

4. Created a new class for request parsing with list of object parameter.

5. While parsing xml in request for list of object, the result count is "0". But the xml has value for "2" object list.

Trying DTL to Persistent Table - No data gets to table

Hello, our Team is trying to develop Ensemble DTL to transform incoming X12 files into persistent data records. We created a persistent class and we can insert data using SQL. We tried to verify that %Save() gets called by adding %AddToSaveSet() method to persistent class and there writing to a global. We had to extend our persistent class with Ens.VDoc.Interface class or we could not see %Save() being called from Ensemble DTL. We suspect that %Save() gets some kind of error. We tried to debug by overwriting Transform() method in our DTL class.

Variable number of arguments in web service method

I wonder if you could help me? I have a regular cache class that accepts a variable number of arguments in one of the methods. It works fine so I decided to add a method to my web service to make the call to the cache class. I get a compile error on the web service with error#5130.

%Id() availability in %OnBeforeSave()

Is there documentation that states %Id() is supposed to be available in %OnBeforeSave()?

I am currently using it in this method without issues, but one of my colleagues is stating it is not supposed to be available for a new object at this point because the object has not been saved yet.

%UnitTest Code Coverage

Hi,

When we write unit test cases for cache object script code using %UnitTest.TestCase, what is the best way to write code to identify code coverage?

So, let say my unit test case hit all 10 lines of code of a method for a given class. So, unit test coverage should be 100% for that. But, using line-by-line coverage [(%Monitor.System.LineByLine] getting wrong percentage, because it also includes code comment/documentation as part of code. So, practically we can not ever achieve 100% of code coverage by using this API.

request.GetValueAt Syntax to subfields

I have a vendor that is sending me an Abbreviation in FT1:16.4.2 that I need to look up against a table to find the correct ID for.

But in my Business Process when I refer to request.GetValueAt("FT1:16.4.2") its not recognizing that this field contains information. Is my syntax wrong?

"Listen" to a cache db?

Hello everyone,

Im just wondering if there is any possibility to "Listen" to a cache DB? We have our cache DB somewhere else provided by a different company, we are provided the interface to connect to that cache DB so we can extract the cache DB every night.

Im just curious if theres a way to "listen" to the cache DB, so if theres any changes on the table in the cache DB, I could make a trigger to extract the table again.

I know i could just set my ETL every hour or so... but that would extract all the tables in cache DB.

Best practice for storing secured passwords in objects

Hi-

I have a need to store a password in an object property of a User object.

What would be best practice for data type assigned to the "Password" property and securing that password against prying eyes, both just browsing the global as well as via SQL? Better yet, how can I prevent a specific property from being projected to SQL?
