I created a custom business operation to copy PDF files in Intersystems Healthshare. To copy the files I used:
$ZF(-100, "", "cp", "-f", tSource, tTarget)
tSource contains the source file e.g. "/opt/var/data/dir/1821008687135422926_5849146876.pdf".
tTargetSource contains the target file "/opt/targetdir/Müller_Jörg_1821008687.pdf".
Copying files without german Umlaute works fine (e.g Smith_Robert_1821081542.pdf), but when the string contains special characters like "ä", "ö", "ü" or even "ß" copying is not successful.
I have one Ensemble EnsLib.File.OutboundAdapter which has several methods, each writing a different file. In my Ensemble Production I have configured this FileAdapter to write to a certain directory, but i'd rather have each method write to a different (sub)directory instead of writing all files to the same directory. How can I achieve that without splitting the methods into different business operations?

I'm trying to send alerts in Ens.Alert process to a teams channel.

Has anyone use any other setting then -1 on the Stay Connected setting on a SQL.OutboundAdapter? I am having issues with a particular database and wonder if it would be beneficial since I only connect once a day to read the data from the Adapter to create an HL7 message.
I have been using IRIS / Ensemble for over a decade and appreciate lot of it's functionalities and features, however besides having a UI of 80's era (which doesn't bother me), what I believe where IRIS is lacking is lack of out of the box connectors (services/operations).
If we look at IRIS's competitors for eg Mulesoft, Talend, Boomi they all have hundreds of pre-built connectors for major applications like Salesforce, SAP etc and cloud services like Azure, AWS etc to store and retrieve information and data.

I am trying to base64 encode a string with non standard characters encoded in utf-8 also tried windows 1252 and I am getting error like so

I'm trying to tie IRIS (2019.1) into our Concord Fax cloud-based email-to-fax workflow. We have some sites that require a fax be sent to multiple locations based upon certain data (ie Radiology and Emergency departments). Unfortunately, CC-ing does not work with Concord Fax so I need a way to send the email, change the recipient, and then send it again if certain criteria are met. Is this possible? Do I need to duplicate and rename the method, calling the second one in the MessageMap?
What I can do: Get a subset of HL7 messages. Send the messages to a RecordMap (with key fields from the HL7 message). Save each message to a file.
How can I send all messages until a set time (e.g. 9am each day) to single file?
Scenario: In the period 09:00 1 Jan 2022 to 09:00 2 Jan 2022 there are say 50 messages to save to file: File001.txt In the period 09:00 2 Jan 2022 to 09:00 3 Jan 2022 there are say 40 messages to save to file: File002.txt etc
We're having an issue with some messages being sent to a downstream system from Healthshare. Part of the free text in the NTE segment is displaying with special characters on the system front-end but is not present in the HL7 message that we send to them. We are guessing that this is a result of some of the text being copied and pasted from something like MS Word. The '?' on their system is just representing an invalid character.
Is anyone aware of a way to prevent this occurring? We are sending the messages using the 'cp1252' encoding.
