Hello community,

I recently started to work with Ensemble. I defined a subclass of EnsLib.HL7.Message. In my production I receive HL7v2 messages and transport them using the Message Router to a business operation. The operation class has an OnMessage method with parameter

pObject As MySubclassOfEnsLibHL7Message.

Hi,

I have a class with around 400k lines and 60 columns. Class storage is Cache SQL storage (Mapped from a global).

I want to create multiple indices on certain fields.

I am familiar with two approaches:

1. Create a new map (Index type) on a pointer global.

2. Create a bitmap index

Which approach is more recommended to be used in the case I described? If there are any other approaches, I will be happy to hear.

Thanks :)

Wanna Cry

Most of you should be aware that the Wanna Cry virus is massively infecting un-patched windows machines all around the world. It's particularly affecting the NHS, one of my main clients.

Wanna Cry is one of a line of Viruses that exploit SMBv1 over ports 135 and 445.

A kill switch has been enabled, but this won't protect machines sitting behind http proxies, and there are already reports of new versions without a kill switch.

All windows machines should be isolated and updated a.s.a.p.

Surely you have all heard about FHIR as the panacea and solution to all interoperability and compatibility problems between systems. Right here we can see one of his classic defenders holding a FHIR resource in his hand and enjoying it immensely:

But for the rest of us mortals we are going to make a small introduction.

I have a scenario where I'm using a EnsLib.File.InboundAdapter to collect files from an external file system. The files require to meet a certain criteria before they are moved to another remote file system. If they don't, I would like them to stay where they are so that they can be collected again when the criteria has changed. I have set the adaptor property DeleteFromServer to false - which is fine - the file stays put in its original location, but the file is never collected again as I receive a "Skipping previously processed file " info

Just came back from Global Summit 2018 and want to share my impressions.

Key highlights of my choice:

1. The announcement of a new InterSystem Data Platform: InterSystems IRIS for Health!

2. Community and Express licensing for InterSystems IRIS

3. The Launch of InterSystems Open Exchange - the gallery of InterSystems Solutions, Tools, Technology examples, Adapters, and Interfaces! E.g. test coverage tool and Ethereum Blockchain Adapter

LogicalToDisplay Method

Hi, I am trying to understand the transformational methods.

  • LogicalToDisplay()
  • LogicalToOdbc()
  • OdbcToLogical()
  • DisplayToDisplay()

I have created a small class with the only property of List as %List, see below.

Class LastName.Demo2 Extends %Persistent
{
Property List As %List;

}

Then I entered the following commands in the Terminal

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out why I'm unable to iterate through a dynamic array and access the nested objects.

Using the NHS PDS FHIR API in the NHS sandbox environment, I'm querying the PDS endpoint using a sample NHS Number to retrieve a patient's demographics. My Business Operation reads the response data and passes it back to my Business Process where I intend on iterating through certain nested objects. The data present in these nested objects will decide what happens next in the process.

I am trying to import the SalesForce Enterprise WSDL in InterSystems Ensemble Studio using the SOAP Add-In. However, when I do so I receive a class dependency loop, Error #5316 during compilation. The WSDL is the standard WSDL provided with SalesForce and works fine in SoapUI. In the SalesForce WSDL it is allowed for an object A to include an object B as an element, while at the same time object B is allowed object A as an element. I think this is what causes the class dependency loop for InterSystems. Does anyone has any suggestion how I can circumvent this error?

clinFHIR for developers

This article is intended to describe how the clinFHIR application can be used to help developers both understand FHIR and to develop applications that utilize FHIR artifacts. It’s not intended to be an introduction to FHIR, but rather describe how clinFHIR can help on the learning / development journey.

So, the next year will bring us a new way of installing IRIS. Always keep in mind that you have to bring your own web server. No matter how many instances of IRIS you have on your local machine. Or if you work in Docker, always keep in mind a bit more complicated configuration.

And I now want to understand the costs of this decision for end-developers like most of here.

Hello everyone!
I am receiving a HTTP multipart/form-data request into my rest service.
How can I read the values for each Key in the form?
The key "Profile" is sent to my service as a String data type.
The code I have below does not seem to work, where I try to read the Key profile in the form.

I appreciate all the help I can get! :)

Case description

Let’s imagine that you are a Python developer or have a well-trained team specialized in Python, but the deadline you got to analyze some data in IRIS is tight. Of course, InterSystems offers many tools for all kinds of analyses and treatments. However, in the given scenario, it is better to get the job done using the good old Pandas and leave the IRIS for another time.

Code Golf: Paired Opposites

You will receive a string of comma-separated integers whose elements have both a negative and a positive value, except for one integer that is either only negative or only positive, our challenge will be to find that integer.
As usual shortest solution wins.

Input

"1,-1,2,-2,3"

Output

3

3 has no matching negative appearance

Conditions within ruleset

Hi guys

I have always struggled with this, tended to use workarounds but now decided to hear from more experienced people if this is something I am misunderstanding.

I need to basically add a "send" within the ruleset number 2, but without a need to associate a "when" node to it. Is this possible? What I basically need is to forward messages with status 160 to "ManageEDM" and also regardless of the status, it should get sent to "ManageRIS"

Hi I'm just trying to make sure I'm not missing a trick here.

Basically our PAS doesn't do hl7 messages but does some XML which you can create. So I'm just trying to create some xml files and then get healthshare/ensemble to parse them and to process accordingly.

I'm getting some good results doing this. But maybe I've got a small hitch. In each of my xml files I've the data for the patient/client.
