Hello Community,

I have encountered the following SQL problem trying to create a table from a SELECT statement.

I narrowed the problem down to the following example:

1. The SELECT statement alone works as expected.

SELECT m.Name, h.Status
FROM EnsLib_HL7.Message m, Ens.MessageHeader h
WHERE h.MessageBodyClassName='EnsLib.HL7.Message' AND h.MessageBodyID = m.ID

2. But if "CREATE TABLE ... AS" is added it fails

While performing the IRIS upgrade on our backup test server I noticed the following error in the messages log after restarting IRIS:

04/26/24-16:28:36:788 (5701964) 1 [Utility.Event] (HSHCPRT) Failed to retrieve journal file #9567 from FCHHSHCPRTTX02/PRT: Failed to allocate a 33686036 byte tcp buffer for zlib compress.

Stumped on this one, I logged a WRC and looked at some things with support but was not able to resolve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

InterSystems encourages the adoption of a flexible, practical approach to application development, rather than strict adherence to one of the prevalent development theories. This paper offers advice based upon our experience. However needs, attitudes, and styles vary; we recommend that each programmer choose the development approach that works best for them. Caché supports a wide range of development methodologies, not just those recommended here.

InterSystems IRIS Data Platform is a comprehensive, multi-model, multi-workload data platform that is ideal for accommodating the challenging requirements of applications for the Internet of Things. It is a complete platform for developing, executing, and maintaining IoT applications in a single, consistent, unified environment. It features a distributed architecture to support massive data-ingest rates and data volumes, while providing the flexibility and durability of an enterprise-grade transactional multi-model database to ingest, process, and persist data from a wide range of devices in different formats. It features a complete set of integration, event-processing, and integrated analytics capabilities, including full SQL support and text processing, business process orchestration, and a standards-based development environment.

Connect to, ingest, and persist a wide range of disparate device data types and formats

The data types associated with IoT applications are often heterogeneous, as they may originate from various devices with diverse functions and manufactured by different vendors. The underlying data platform must be able to ingest and process a wide range of raw data types in their original formats. Many applications also require the data platform to persist all of the disparate source data to detect deviations from normal ranges, accommodate downstream ad hoc analytics, maintain regulatory compliance, and fulfill other purposes.

Working in healthcare IT as a young developer, especially on InterSystems TrakCare, you quickly realize one thing: it’s not just about HL7 messages or backend integrations. A huge part of making TrakCare work smoothly for hospitals comes down to how it’s configured, customized, and supported on the application side.

⏯️ Healthcare AI Agent Platform

An AI Agent Platform specifically built for the healthcare industry that requires no technical background to utilize. By simply defining a goal or initiative, a swarm of AI agents will conduct operations to achieve the stated end goal and measure their own efficacy along the way to continuously improve. Healthcare organizations today are facing a myriad of challenges that impact financial and clinical performance. These problems are well known, and there is a general consensus on how many of them can be alleviated with AI. However, healthcare organizations face unique challenges in implementing AI:

  • HIPAA/Regulatory compliance - Data quality & accessibility - Embedding AI into current clinical workflows, i.e. integrating AI in such a way that it does not require clinicians to re-orient their processes. It should complement existing workflows, not disrupt them.
  • Implementation cost/high technical barrier of entry – staff needed to build and maintain AI processes can become expensive
  • Ambiguous ROI calculation – careful considerations must be made to properly measure and understand the efficacy of AI integrations. InterSystems is uniquely positioned to address these challenges, enabling healthcare organizations to implement AI with minimal burden.

Is it possible to audit code changes in a namespace?

Ideally what we'd like to be able to do is check which classes were compiled (or deleted) in a time period, eg in last 3 months, and which user made those changes. Even better would be an audit of what those changes were, but that's less important (for us, as we can probably find that information in other ways).

Change %Response.ContentLength

Hey everyone,
Might be a stupid question, but i was trying to set the ContentLength of the %response object in my website.
In different places (like the onPreHttp / onPostHttp etc) but none seems to work.

The reason behind it is to send a more accurate representation of the actual data I send, instead of having the overhead of the broker that adds more characters , I want the exact length of the response accounting only for the data that I actually returned.

I inherited some legacy MUMPS / ObjectScript code. A code review identified an exclusive NEW and that is not allowed per our coding standards.

The original code contains:

RUN(CALL,DRVNAME)
S $EC=""
S ^TMP($J,"RMPV","DRVNAME")=DRVNAME
N TMPFILE,OLDIO
S OLDIO=$IO
I $G(^TMP("RMPV","SILENT"),1) S IOP="NULL",%ZIS=0 D ^%ZIS I '$G(POP,1) U IO
D INIT^@DRVNAME
D ; scope variables
.N (DUZ,CALL) ; Protect %response
.S IOF="""""",IOM=80,U="^"
.D @CALL
U OLDIO

If several application servers are connected using ECP, and one of them create many locks, so many that lock table became full :

Should we expect only that application server to be impacted ? (usually, when lock table is full the system became instable). Or, are other application servers going to be impacted the same way ? (because that lock table is synchronized and maintained in sync across all servers)

We are doing healthcare interface development.

Developers have Ensemble installed locally on their laptops - code will be developed locally then deployed to integration, test/UAT and ultimately production servers in due course.

One of the other applications we are developing around happens to utilise an Iris desktop client to a remote Iris server. We want to have the application available on the developers laptops alongside the local Ensemble instance.

Hi, Community!

Curious how a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) application works? Take a look at this demonstration:

I have an angular UI communicating with a iris rest api. Now I need to authenticate (to federated) before accessing the UI, and for a better solution as the users are using the healthshare clinical viewer 2023, find a way to use the clinical viewer authentication / user to go to the UI.

The angular way would be to do an angular guard and have a function 'am I authenticate to federated', but I never found a function like this and how to get my username.

Hello Community,

I'm executing the same query with same column name but in different case. An unique cached query generated while query executed first time. The query preparser only normalize the keywords and send to the SQL engine generates the Hash. Eventually use the cached query next use.

Now my question, The hash values are same for both of the queries. Then why it creates two cached queries.

Query1: select * from MyLearn.Test where Name['Kev1'

Query2: select * from MyLearn.Test where NamE['Kev1'
