AWS Batch

Has anyone tried AWS Batch with InterSystems IRIS docker images?

I have a noninteractive workload (but it requires internet access from the job to deliver results), so I'm considering using it as a simpler alternative to ECS since Fargate backs both, and that's enough for my use case.

I wonder if anyone tried and cares to share the results, issues, cfn templates.

Hi folks!

I'm playing with IRIS interoperability at the moment and it turned out that Data Transformation cannot be the element of production by itself.

It can be called either from data rule or from business process.

But why?

What if I just want to change the message with the transformation and transfer the message somewhere else? Why the overhead with Rule or Business process?

hs_err_pid log files

Hi Guys,

I'm getting a lot of hs_err_pid.mdmp & hs_err_pis.txt error files in the path where Cache.DAT in located and as I googled these seems to be Java error files and I'm wondering what this has to do with Ensemble, and is it alright to just delete them?

Thanks

Hi Friends,

I have created an object script class method to anonymize live hl7 messages with some info masking.

To anonymize files , I need to place live messages in d://input folder and need to execute the below command in the Intersystems terminal

do ##class(prashanth.tool.HL7Annonymiser).processFilesInDir("D:\Input\")

ANONYMIZED files will be generated in D:\output\" folder.

everything is working fine.

Here when i need to annonymise some files ,

1) I need to open terminal (iris)

2) connected to user

I have a few Radio buttons, some of which have to have the same value. I need to know which one the user have selected, so I am using text, however it does not work well so far.

Example:
I have 4 Radio buttons: Apple, Pear, Lemon and Orange, with values: Apple, Pear have Value 1, and Lemon and Orange have Value of 2
(this unfortunatelly cannot be changed for this particular application)

I need to figure out that the user picked specifically Apple, so I am using text as follows:

Hi all,

I have a situation where I am writing to global from different processes - let's call it an Event Queue.
There is then a different process that uses $order to read through the data - the PubSub processing BP.

Sometimes the writing of this global will form part of a transaction that also insert data into other tables, using tstart and tcommit.
If there is some issue, it will roll back, and the entry written to the global will also roll back.

I am very pleased with the added XML import/export feature in VS Code, this is something I found valuable in Studio. Similarly, I would find it very useful to allow import/export of .rtn files from VS Code. Is this currently possible (other than using SMP)? If not, are there plans for adding this? I frequently work with exported routines in .rtn format that I import into multiple instances.

We recently published a new White Paper on the use of reporting nodes ("asynchronous reporting mirror members" in full) in a mirrored environment. More and more customers are looking into this mechanism as a quick and easy way to set up a copy of their production data that stays current, yet can be used for analytical querying or heavy-duty reporting workloads without impacting the source system. Read the White Paper here.

How source control integrates with your system is imperative in ensuring it works seamlessly behind the scenes without interruption.

Deltanji source control understands the internal workings of InterSystems IRIS and provides a solution that can seamlessly handle its unique needs, with client integrations for VS Code, Studio, Management Portal, and Management Portal Productions.

You can find out more about the benefits of using a source control tailored for InterSystems IRIS at this webinar.

This demo will show how Deltanji goes beyond the traditional CI/CD pipeline, automating the project lifecycle from development through to deployment, making it the perfect source control companion for organizations with continually evolving systems.

Server Manager is a Visual Studio Code extension that helps you manage the server connection definitions you probably need when working with the InterSystems ObjectScript extension for VS Code.

For the past ten months version 3 of Server Manager has been available as a pre-release extension, providing better security for stored passwords.

Today Server Manager came out of preview. If you use Server Manager please check for updates in VS Code's Extensions view. The version number of today's release is 3.2.1.
