We're super excited and thankful to our 52 InterSystems colleagues who participated in the 📺 Demo Games for InterSystems Sales Engineers 📺 and created 19 amazing videos.

Our colleagues worldwide put their creativity, technical know-how, and demo magic to the test. We are trying to make an ODBC connection via our intersystems ensemble (2016.2 running on ubuntu). However, when I am testing the connection I receive a pop-up that: "Http object response incomplete or invalid.0,#R". Note that the iodbctrace.log remains empty (and it is working because on the first try it registered a 459 error that I should activate kerberos, which I did). Any advise where I should look?

I have taken the following actions:

1. Expand the cacheodbc.ini in the mgr directory as follows:

For historic reasons we've got a mix of ADT feeds coming out of our PAS (TrakCare) to a wide range of downstream systems. In particular, there are some that are direct from TrakCare to the downstream systems, and many more that pass through Ensemble as our integration engine.

This is complicating management of the integrations, and so we'd like everything to go through the integration engine. In other words move from the flow in the top of the diagram to the flow in the bottom of the diagram:

As the title says, I've noticed that files that gets saved to the disk where the database lies (.DAT file) in the stream directory, does not get purged. Is this expected and do we need to create our own schedule task to clean this folder up?

I could only find old answers that say this, however I find it a bit odd if that is the case because they are considered temporary files. Perhaps I do not handle the streams correctly in the code?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the next job for now. My major skill is app integration (Interoperability on the IRIS platform). My coding background on Cache Object Script includes hundreds of data flows, thousands of Production business hosts, dozens of APIs, and other solutions on the IRIS Data Platform. I worked to fuse applications such as ERP, WMS, CRM, DWH, e-commerce solutions, mobile apps, marketplaces, and POS software. I have also gained experience in the Cache platform, IRIS administration, and various programming areas like SQL, Java, Mobile development (Android, Flutter).

Hello community,

is anybody located in the DACH area healthcare sector working with Dedalus Orbis as patient master and uses a custom HL7 schema for parsing Orbis message structures into Health Connect?

We're facing a migration and I ask myself if I have to create a schema by myself, based on the pdf documentation given by the company. This is a tedious task, so hopefully there is somebody out there willing to share his or her experience.

High Availability IAM

One of the recommendations when deploying InterSystems Technologies for production is to set up High Availability. The recommended API Manager for these InterSystems Technologies is the InterSystems API Manager (IAM). IAM (essentially Kong Gateway) has multiple deployment topologies.

My problem was separating HL7 messages by message type. I had to create multiple File Operations. So I with custom code I am able to use 1 File Adapter for 1 interface and multiple message types. I did experiment pulling the MSH 4 out of the raw content to further access dynamic information, but that may open a need for more robust error checking / lookup default actions.

Using the recommended naming convention of "To_FILE_<IntegrationName>"

I decided to use a generic file name and path in the default settings.

I've been trying to set up a script I can run after installing an instance to enable IPM across all namespaces. I have been able to install IPM successfully using

In the previous article, we saw how to build a customer service AI agent with smolagents and InterSystems IRIS, combining SQL, RAG with vector search, and interoperability.

In that case, we used cloud models (OpenAI) for the LLM and embeddings.

This time, we’ll take it one step further: running the same agent, but with local models thanks to Ollama.
