InterSystems Developer Community is a community of 25,639 amazing developers
We're a place where InterSystems IRIS programmers learn and share, stay up-to-date, grow together and have fun!

Hi,

We currently have a zen page we created to show all existing tasks and their states (Running or Stopped) as below, is the a way to do the same and create a page where we can list all Business Services of a production, state and to either Stop or restart them?

Thanks

Good morning, everyone

I purchased an HP LaserJet M101-M106 printer, and I'm trying to print via the Windows cache device, but I can't get it to work.
I can send it, but it doesn't print.
Physical device name: |PRN|HP LaserJet M101-M106
Type: Other
Subtype: P-DEC
Open Parameters: “W”

Could someone help me with what might be happening?

Otherwise, thanks

We have a task that runs objectscript code to load data into a linked external table. After upgrading from 2024.1 to 2025.1, the load is throwing an error, with error code -400, and no error message. The data DOES get loaded into the external table in its entirety, so with no meaningful error message, its hard to determine what the issue is. The result is the same with and without the USING clause, so don't let that confuse you. We have logs of this statement succeeding before upgrade, and were able to get this statement to work in our production environment, which is still on version 2

[Demo Video] AI Clinical Trial Platform

#InterSystems Demo Games entry

⏯️ AI Clinical Trial Platform

The Trial AI platform leverages InterSystems cloud services including the FHIR Transformation Service and IRIS Cloud SQL to assist with clinical trial recruitment, an expensive and prevalent problem. It does this by ingesting structured and unstructured healthcare data, then uses AI to help identify eligible patients.

Hi,

I have a mirrored database called ROUTER.

I have a primary server T1 and a "Disaster Recovery" server T2.

When I activate ROUTER database on T2, I get the error it says the "Database could not be mounted".

I went to the audit database and it shows "Attempt to access a protected database".

T2 in mirror monintor shows "Connected" "Caught up" "Warning! Some databases need attention"

T2 show the ROUTER database as being "Mounted/R"

Both T1 & T2 are Linux servers. The ROUTER database file IRIS.DAT have the same Linux permissions

Business Services limit

Hi guys,

Is it bad to have too many Business Services in a production and what's the limit, I'm looking to convert our system tasks (around 30 of them) into Business Services and wondering if it's a better option?

Thanks

"Haul" a Portable Registry for Airgapped IrisClusters

Rancher Government Hauler streamlines deploying and maintaining InterSystems container workloads in air-gapped environments by simplifying how you package and move required assets. It treats container images, Helm charts, and other files as content and collections, letting you fetch, store, and distribute them declaratively or via CLI — without changing your existing workflows. Meaning your charts and what have yous, can have conditionals on your pull locations in Helm values, etc.

If you have been tracking how HealthShare is being deployed via IPM Packages, you can certainly appreciate the adoption of OCI compliance storage for the packages themselves using ORAS... which is core to the Hauler solution.

Hi community,

I have a service that uses EnsLib.RecordMap.Service.FTPService to capture files in an FTP directory.

Instead of uploading them all at once, I would need to do so one at a time.

I have a class that extends this class because it preprocesses, saves everything in the RecordMap class, and then processes all the records at once.

When I invoke the BP, it does so through the method set tStatus = ..SendRequest(message, 1).

I've set the SynchronousSend flag to 1, but it continues processing all the files at once.

Target Practice for IrisClusters with KWOK

KWOK, Kubernetes WithOut Kubelet, is a lightweight tool that simulates nodes and pods—without running real workloads—so you can quickly test and scale IrisCluster behavior, scheduling, and zone assignment. For those of you wondering what value is in this without the IRIS workload, you will quickly realize it when you play with your Desk Toys awaiting nodes and pods to come up or get the bill for provisioning expensive disk behind the pvc's for no other reason than just to validate your topology.

Here we will use it to simulate an IrisCluster and target a topology across 4 zones, implementing high availability mirroring across zones, disaster recovery to an alternate zone, and horizontal ephemeral compute (ecp) to a zone of its own. All of this done locally, suitable for repeatable testing, and a valuable validation check mark on the road to production.

Only method/routine executed as "do Method..." is included into $ESTACK.
How can I modify a method or routine that returns a value so it can be included in $ESTACK?
Example upon executing via Studio Debug ($ESTACK is converted to string with ">" delimiter):
Expected: stackstr = %Debugger.System.DebugStub > LogGenerate > Entry > DirChain > Attributes > LogNew > LogSize > LogFormat > LogWrite
Processes DirChain, LogNew, LogSize, LogFormat are executed as "If Method..."

Hey Community,

The InterSystems team put on our monthly Developer Meetup with a triumphant return to CIC's Venture Café, the crowd including both new and familiar faces. Despite the shakeup in both location and topic, we had a full house of folks ready to listen, learn, and have discussions about health tech innovation!
