Does anyone know of a relatively quick and straightforward way of converting code written in the old dot scoping syntax with argumentless do (see here for reference: https://docs.intersystems.com/latest/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?KEY=RCOS_cdo_legacy) to the modern parentheses scoping syntax? It's not too bad to do it by hand, but it's also easy to make a mistake and leave a "quit" in an if statement by accident for example.

E.g.

I use the following code to start a start a job :

Class MyClass Extends (...)
{
    ClassMethod Foo()
    {
       job $CLASSMETHOD("MyClass","MyMethod") //take forever depending hardware
    }

    ClassMethod MyMethod()
    {
       //do database related stuff
    }
}

On local environment, calling Foo() is instantaneous (a few ms). On production/test servers (which have much better hardware than local) calling this function is slow and take between 200 ms to 800 ms. Obviously starting a new job with "job" command take lot of time on those environments.

First of all thanks for your time and help reading this question:

We would need some help:

The use case is: to add a rule inside a EnsLib.HL7.MsgRouter.RoutingEngine, where we iterate in a EnsLib.HL7.Message to find a specified value inside all OBXs segments. It should return a Boolean

Is there any recommended way, or standard function inside Ensemble, that we could use, without having to develop a new function?

We have read:

I would like to know if an encrypted caché database can run significantly slower than a normal "unencrypted" database, in a way that is noticeable to the end user (e.g. slower response time for most pages, especially the ones that rely on read/writing to globals).

I searched in Intersystems knowledge base and couldn't find anything related. I'm looking for possible before/after benchmarks.

I added a Response Message Class to a call in the Business Process Designer.

When i click on Response Actions or on Response Builder i get a message

"You must specify a response message class in order to add or edit response actions."

no matter which response message i choose i always get the above warning.

how do i fix this?

Thanks

Before I run down the "overengineered solution" path, I wanted to throw this out to the group.

We will be receiving HL7 messages via TCP/MLLP that have a PDF document stored in a single OBX segment. As the volume is expected to be somewhat high and the documents could be megabytes in size, it would be preferable to save the PDF payload to disk and replace it with a filesystem path before IRIS does it's first Save%. The idea being that we would than implement an OnDelete that would remove the file when the HL7 message is purged.

I have a requirement which comes down to evaluating two fields, if they are both empty then provide a default value.

If one is empty but the other has a value, then set the empty one to the field with a value.

The screenshots are not the actual fields, I was just using the dtl and fields to prove out the solution.

When I saved and compiled in the Management Portal I got an error, but it still compiled.

Portal's category.

Hello,

I’m looking for a way to find out which category of portal a connector belongs to.
I looked at the class ‘Ens.Config.Production’ and ‘Ens.Config.Item’ but without success.

An idea about the ‘ObjectScript’ code to design?

Best Regards.

We have the following code, but recently had a few issues with messages sent to downstream systems being rejected.
After investigating, seems that the message being sent is being truncated, the RawContent that we are pulling from Ens.EnsLib_HL7.Message only has the first 10k of the message

We are storing message body IDs in a table, then when we receive later messages, we look up the corresponding record in the table,
extract the message and alter some fields from the saved message based on the received message and send onto downstream systems

Locking / unlocking

Hi.

What is the best/right way to unlock the object in ObjectScript after the lock was acquired by %OpenId class method? Setting the opened object to null (Set object="") doesn't release the lock.

Matjaž

We just upgrade from cache 2016.2 to IRIS 2020.1.1.

After this upgrade we cannot access to the portal web management, and dont give errors about that just this:

09/28/21-15:59:16:654 (20192) 1 [Utility.Event] Private web server has not started after 5 seconds.

Is this normal?

I followed the guide but dont talk nothing about that.

This is a normal problem when upgrading?

Thanks!!

I am executing the command:

set fileComp = ##Class(SYS.Database).FileCompact(obj.Directory, freeSpace, .actualFree)

where obj.Directory contains the location of the current database

This executes correctly. However, the resultant OREF object does not contain any displayable properties but rather is of the value:

"0 "_$lb($lb(380,,,,,,,,,$lb(,"%SYS",$lb("e^zFileCompact+38^SYS.Database.1^1","e^^^0"))))/* ERROR #380: Completed but skipped some blocks, details recorded in the console log. */
