In a typical database, changing the type of a column from some kind of date/time to a string would require a degree of migration effort for existing values. In Caché, my suspicion is that this is not the case, and I could simply change a property definition from %Timestamp to %String (MAXLEN = "30") and recompile, without needing to worry about damaging the existing data stored for this property. Is this correct? Or would I find the existing data in this property being lost or corrupted?

I am trying to pull the code tables Information and this code table has linked code table not exactly obviously joined by SQL tables or columns. This is confusing me. Please can you clarify how to link these two tables.

When CT_Hospital has data, for that relevant hospital code, CT_Staff can be clicked and data entered.

When I see in the Components - > Items I do not see any SQL table or SQL column common between CT_Hospital and CT_Staff.

We have a set of some fairly standard HL7 interfaces that usually end up doing about 90% of the same thing as every other interface. I'd really like to be able to write a script that I can modify some text, and have it create Services, Processes, Operations, DTL and Business Rules.
