Representational state transfer (REST) is a software architectural style that defines a set of constraints to be used for creating Web services. Web services that conform to the REST architectural style, called RESTful Web services (RWS), provide interoperability between computer systems on the Internet. I have an application which is distributed across maybe 5 servers since it has over a thousand users at a time we had an upgrade to the application last week and I had an integration build that uses the REST service ( ##class(%Net.HttpResponse) but since the upgrade the integration has not be able to communicate with the application tried testing my URL through Postman and all seems ok but if I test direct I get a 500 error anything that I need to check on please or any advice on how to check what's going on.
I am working on an angular applications and build a web application (Rest API) on IRIS for health, the web application uses a password authentication and setup with the default csp session time out (15 minutes). If the user make an REST API call from the angular application after the session expired, it displays a login prompt...is that anyway that we can disable the login prompt and just simply return http status 401? When the angular application received the status 401, it can redirect to angular error page.
Hi everyone - In IRIS we would like to arrange the access of two users in such a way that each has access to exactly one (his) database only. Which resource does this (%DB_%DEFAULT allows each of the two users access to both databases). If you create new resources (%DB_Database1 and %DB_Database2) and then add them to individual roles (each for the user to), the access for the users, for example, via a REST client does not give the desired separation (instead once Ok, other database 401 Unauthorized both OK).
Recently i've been using Restforms2 to create a CRUD API for a project. But it lacks some advanced functionality that we need, so we have created a production with a REST WS which handles those advanced methods. That works great but there's a drawback, it does not have authentication.
I would want to use the same authentication method as Restforms2 which is a basic auth using IRIS users and passwords.
I have tried many methods from super classes of %CSP.REST but I can't find a method I can override that will run after the %response object is created so I can set a header that is common to each implementation method. It's one line of code in each method to set the header but it would like to make it super easy, simple and just have a method that runs on, before, after the implementation method to set this common header (we want to return the API version in each responses HTTP headers.
I have this response, which is a FHIR location resource in a bundle. I would like to load the entry(0).resource into a context property defined as HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.Location so I can use it as a source in a DTL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is it possible to mimic what selenium does like navigating to a site and logging in and filling out a form then logout in COS.I am trying to do that in COS using %Net.HttpRequest class or should I be using a different class the idea is to be able to call a web app login into it and fill out form and log out
I've added a REST service which worked fine on our test system but failed on the production environment because UnknownUser does not have %All set and I really don't want it set on production (in fact I've also switched it off on test).
Is there a way to allow a single REST service to have unauthorised access?
I was thinking adding a resource/role to UnknownUser specifically for that service but I've never touched on Users/Roles/Resources so I'm struggling to work out what needs adding where.
I'm trying to setup a REST server with CORS support. I have created a class that handles a specific part of the service (printer control). This class I have referenced in my main REST class by adding <Map Prefix="/print" Forward="myClass.PrintAPI" />
My main class does have its own <Route>s and handles CORS requests perfectly. But in my subclass OnHandleCorsRequest() is only run when requesting from same origin and never run when making a CORS request. I have set Parameter HandleCorsRequest = "true" in both my main REST class and the subclass.
I would like to know if it is possible to connect to a REST API through production, without having to write a class that extends %CSP.REST. Is there a GUI based way where I can configure my GetRest and then use EnsLib.REST.GenericService and EnsLib.REST.GenericOperation to configure my production and perform transformations?
I already enabled the IIS configuration for using HTTPS to all requests (using * wildcard) and all my CLS, CSP and ZEN pages are working nice through HTTPS.

I'm currently re-engineering an application from CSP pages directly accessing COS Methods, to an Angular/Material front end accessing a REST DAL. Both the Angular front end and REST services are hosted from the same Caché instance and the same namespace, but the REST services have their own CSP application, with all calls being routed through a Dispatch class.
Does anyone send alerts via API / Web Services to an application such at Tivoli or CA Spectrum? If so, can you share what commands you send? e.g. If connection is down or queue depth > 200. Thanks.
