Hi Community,

We’re excited to invite you to take part in shaping the next generation of ObjectScript development tools. We’re working on an AI-powered ObjectScript coding assistant designed specifically for IRIS developers. Not a generic AI adapted for ObjectScript, but a solution built from the ground up to understand ObjectScript idioms, IRIS APIs, interoperability productions, and real-world developer workflows.

To make sure we build something truly useful, we need your input.

CCR now includes an AI-powered 'CCR Assistant', available to beta testers. The CCR Assistant helps you quickly get answers about common CCR workflows, terminology, or best practices. Every response includes references to relevant ICC Training courses, making it easy to dive deeper into any topic. As a future improvement, the links will point directly to the specific page of the ICC Training PDF that was used to generate the response.

Over the last year, the CCR development team has prioritized changes to the CCR application to better expose and encourage best practices for using CCR. This article will highlight some of the areas that we've focused on:

  • Organization Dashboard
  • System Alerts
  • Branch Hygiene

In each of these areas, we have increased the visibility of potential CCR usage issues and given users tools to proactively address them.

Organization Dashboard

We have continued to build out the available information on the Organization details page

How to Build Applications with LangGraph: A Step-by-Step Guide

Tags: #LangGraph #LangChain #AI #Agents #Python #LLM #StateManagement #Workflows

Hi everyone, I want to tell you a little about LangGraph, a tool that I'm studying and developing.

Basically traditional AI applications often face challenges when dealing with complex workflows and dynamic states. LangGraph offers a robust solution, enabling the creation of stateful agents that can manage complex conversations, make context-based decisions, and execute sophisticated workflows.

Hi everyone.

I'm going to give you a quick tip on how to implement an AI agent to search the Intersystems documentation integrated into Teams.

Yes, I know the documentation page has its own AI search engine and it's quite effective, but this way we'd have faster access, especially if Teams is your company's corporate tool.

You can also create another AI agent to search articles published in the developer community (which also has its own integrated AI search engine).

Hi,

I'd like to report a really strange behavior of the Intersystems Lite Terminal after executing a simple ObjectScript instruction.

From the Intersystems Lite terminal, execute the following instructions:

- Set uniqueId = "12345678_1"
- Set uniqueId = $p(uniqueId,"_",1)_"_"_($p(uniqueId,"_",*)+1)
After executing the second instruction, the terminal closes without any error.

Even stranger, when the second instruction is executed with 2 instead of 1, it executes correctly:
- Set uniqueId = "12345678_1"
- Set uniqueId = $p(uniqueId,"_",1)_"_"_($p(uniqueId,"_",*)+2)
- Write uniqueId
12345678_3

As a developer who uses Cache as DB for a couple of projects, I'm using REST API's every time, knowing how to consume a resource from REST API, in my opinion, it's crucial to know how to consume external REST Api's using %Net.HttpRequest because it enables integration with modern web applications and services, and it's a crucial skill for a backend developer who loves and uses Cache as a DB.

What and who is %Net.HttpRequest

CCR users can now take advantage of an enhanced syntax for substituting pre-defined tokens with live URL links within phase-related text fields. In addition to the existing <env> token which automatically updates to reflect the Environment of the relevant CCR Record, CCR now introduces three new keywords: <smp> , <smpPrefix> , and <homepage>.

What is TLS?

TLS, the successor to SSL, stands for Transport Layer Security and provides security (i.e. encryption and authentication) over a TCP/IP connection. If you have ever noticed the "s" on "https" URLs, you have recognized an HTTP connection "secured" by SSL/TLS. In the past, only login/authorization pages on the web would use TLS, but in today's hostile internet environment, best practice indicates that we should secure all connections with TLS.

Why use TLS?

Starting out with ObjectScript, it is really exciting, but it can also feel a little unusual if you're used to other languages. Many beginners trip over the same hurdles, so here are a few "gotchas" you'll want to watch out for. (Also few friendly tips to avoid them)

NAMING THINGS RANDOMLY

We have all been guilty of naming something Test1 or MyClass just to move on quickly. But once your project grows, these names become a nightmare.

➡ Pick clear, consistent names from the start. Think of it as leaving breadcrumbs for your future self and your teammates.

Dear Community,

I've noticed that some of my friends and colleagues are using the Developer Community app on their Android devices. Could someone please help me with the exe file or guide me on how to get it?
