Hi All! Wanted to share a recent video we released, for those of you who may be getting started with InterSystems HealthShare Health Connect Cloud. This video walks through all the management tasks you can complete via the InterSystems Cloud Services Portal that you use with Health Connect Cloud. Feel free to reach out if you have questions!

In this article we are going to demonstrate the great potential that IRIS/HealthConnect makes available to all its users with the use of Embedded Python and we are going to do it by developing a small production that will allow us to recognize and identify the faces present in a JPG file from some images that we will use as a reference.

Let us begin! We have published the entire application in OpenExchange so that you only need to download and deploy it in Docker as you can read in the associated README file.

I'm working with a client who has InterSystems in his hospital to the management of patients and nurses. Now he want to develop a web app which can schedule nurse sift. Is there any way I can authenticate the user from his hospital InterSystems and get data from the system when ever the user login through the web app.

In Windows, set the processes with the following image names as monitoring targets.

[irisdb.exe]

contains important system processes.
* Please refer to the attachment for how to check important system processes that should be monitored.

[IRISservice.exe]

This is the process for handling IRIS instances via services.
When this process ends, it does not directly affect the IRIS instance itself, but stopping IRIS (stopping the service) is no longer possible.

[ctelnetd.exe]

%Service_Telnet Starts when the service is enabled and becomes a daemon process to access IRIS via Telnet.

EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems are modeled in a proprietary format/structure and are not based on market models such as FHIR or HL7. Some of these systems can interoperate data in a proprietary format for FHIR and other market models, but others can not. InterSystems has two platforms that can interoperate proprietary formats for market ones: InterSystems HealthShare Connect and InterSystems IRIS for Health.

Hello All, 

I'm trying to sign some custom JWT with x.509 certs but running into a problem with the signed JWT containing some information I need in the JOSE header.

Is there a way to get the "X5C:[]" header included in the signed JTW? IS this as easy as setting something like the following

Set JOSE("x5c") = "public key"

It is clear how to get the request header value with a specific name:

But I can't figure out how to enumerate ALL the request headers (and also get all values).

Let's say you have Python including variable-length arguments methods. How can you call it from ObjectScript?

You can call this "a.py" from ObjectScript as below.  For **kwargs argument, create Dynamic Object in ObjectScript and put it into methods with <variablename>... (3 dots) format.

InterSystems has corrected a defect that can cause corruption of databases and journal files on AIX systems with IBM POWER8 or later POWER processors. This defect can be triggered only when database or journal encryption is in use.

InterSystems Certification is developing a certification exam for InterSystems HL7 interface specialists and, if you match the exam candidate description given below, we would like you to beta test the exam. A common need for our customers is to configure both HealthShare HealthConnect and IRIS in high availability mode.

It's common for other integration engines on the market to be advertised as having "high availability" configurations, but that's not really true. In general, these solutions work with external databases and therefore, if these are not configured in high availability, when a database crash occurs or the connection to it is lost, the entire integration tool it becomes unusable.

I am trying to finish build for moving to IRIS HealthShare Health Connect 2022.1 from HealthShare Health Connect 2018.1.3. I am currently using Delegated Authentication using an AD group to match up to the Role in IRIS. The Role has access to everything but the HS Resources because we don't really use the HS Resources for anything. We are mainly using IRIS for the Interoperability Engine. 

When I run System Administration --> Security --> Security Advisor, I am getting the following error.... "It has been logged to system error log (System Operation>System Logs>Application Error

I'm always on the lookout for tools that make the development and testing of my interfaces more efficient. A couple of years ago I came across HL7 Spy, from Inner Harbour Software. It quickly became my go-to tool for running message comparison reports for interface engine migrations, message statistics gathering, and troubleshooting message receipt and delivery. It also offered enhanced functionality for things like fetching messages via sftp that other tools don't provide.

I've recently been working with HL7 Spy's author, Jon Reis, to enable support for fetching messages directly from the Ensemble message store. Its SQL Loader feature now has native Caché/IRIS support, and I've contributed a small server-side class to support the extraction of messages using it.

InterSystems is pleased to announce the 2023.1 release of InterSystems IRIS Data Platform, InterSystems IRIS for Health, HealthShare Health Connect, and InterSystems IRIS Studio are now Generally Available (GA).

2023.1 is an Extended Maintenance (EM) release. Many updates and enhancements have been added in 2023.1.

There are also brand-new capabilities, such as production-ready support for Columnar Storage, ability to use Bulk FHIR, and support to MacOS 13 Ventura.

Overview

Cross-Skilling from IRIS objectScript to Python it becomes clear there are some fascinating differences in syntax.

One of these areas was how Python returns Tuples from a method with automatic unpacking.

Effectively this presents as a method that returns multiple values. What an awesome invention :)

out1, out2 = some_function(in1, in2)

ObjectScript has an alternative approach with ByRef and Output parameters.

Do ##class(some_class).SomeMethod(.inAndOut1, in2, .out2)

Where:

• inAndOut1 is ByRef
• out2 is Output

The leading dot (".") in front of the variable name passes ByRef and for Output.

Hi all,

I'm trying to use LOAD DATA to insert 11k (11,377) rows of data. LOAD BULK DATA is not available for the version of IRIS I am using.

After calling LOAD DATA it says only 5,500 rows has been inserted. The LOAD DATA docs says any error rows are skipped and a count of skipped rows can be found in %SQL_Diag.Result however there are no results here. There are no errors in the xDBC error log either.

Why have over half the rows been skipped?

I have Iris4Health community version (using for some development) running in a docker container and trying to enable TLS/SSL/HTTPS in the container. I have created the SSL cert chain (root ca/web site cert) via open SSL have the http.conf and http-local.conf file loaded on a durable volume. I have  also loaded the root CA in the trusted root cert store on the device that is connecting.

After inspecting the logs it looks like apache has loaded the certs and is listening on the correct port, but I am unable to connect to the mgmt portal via SSL.

Backup files and journals are used to recover specific globals that have been accidentally deleted. Restoration is performed by specifying conditions and restoring journal records using the ^ZJRNFILT utility In this way, you can apply a point-in-time backup of the database up to and including deleting a specific global for journal records that contain deletions.

In our previous article we saw how to capture DICOM type files located in a folder in our server and how we could send them to a PACS software (in our case the ORTHANC open source solution) for storage and consultation. Well, in this article we are going to deal with the opposite movement.

In our example, we are going to configure our IRIS for Health production to receive images sent from our PACS via TCP/IP. To do this, we must include a Business Service of the standard EnsLib.DICOM.Service.TCP class that will allow us to configure receptions.

The issue can only occur on ECP client systems. When this issue is triggered, processes may experience a <SYSTEM> or <DATABASE> error.

Welcome community members to a new article! this time we are going to test the interoperability capabilities of IRIS for Health to work with DICOM files.

• DICOM is the acronym of Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine and it's a images and medic data transmission standard.

InterSystems announces its fifth developer preview, as part of the developer preview program for the 2023.1 release. Many updates and enhancements have been added in 2023.1 and there are also brand-new capabilities, such as production-ready support for Columnar Storage, ability to use Bulk FHIR, and support to MacOS 13 Ventura. Additionally, a new feature to provide the ability to use Foreign Tables is being released as "experimental" and will be accessible through an Early Access Program (EAP). Some of these features or improvements may not be available in this current developer preview.

I've been working for some days in the connectivity between NodeJS client applications and IRIS as server using web sockets.

For this example we are going to configure an asynchronous server, that would be really usefull to create a subscription manager for our productions.
