Hi All,
I am a product owner for a 3rd party healthcare product.
We have built FHIR integrations with Cerner and EPIC using their FHIR sandboxes and would like to do the same for Trakcare.

Essentially we can lookup a patient record on the FHIR sandbox and import their demographics into our product. Switch out the sandbox credentials for production and we can integrate directly into the customers data.

Does a similar service exist for Trakcare?

Introduction

This article aims to explore how the FHIR-PEX system operates and was developed, leveraging the capabilities of InterSystems IRIS.

Streamlining the identification and processing of medical examinations in clinical diagnostic centers, our system aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of healthcare workflows. By integrating FHIR standards with InterSystems IRIS database Java-PEX, the system help healthcare professionals with validation and routing capabilities, ultimately contributing to improved decision-making and patient care.

Hi Community:

Thought you might be interested in this new partner we just signed in Sydney -- PainChek® Ltd , the Australian-based developer of the world’s first pain assessment and monitoring application for smartphones. Its software-as-a-service, artificial intelligence platform uses smart devices with cameras to accurately evaluate pain levels.

PainChek is using InterSystems IRIS for Health™ and integrating its application with electronic medical record (EMR) systems – including InterSystems TrakCare®.

Hey Developers!

InterSystems IRIS for Health™ includes several features that aid in healthcare interoperability including routing, support for standard data formats such as HL7v2, FHIR, CDA, a data transformation user interface, and easy integration with other systems such as for terminology services.

Hey Community,

In this demonstration you will see the building blocks of an integration in InterSystems IRIS for Health and HealthShare and see how messages are received, processed, and sent—including messages in the HL7 format:

I have been successfully able to transform hand-written medical test results documents to HL7 ORU_R01 v2.x, then to SDA, which will be trasformed to FHIR or C-CDA.

However, I have a category of documents which contains reference range in multiple date formats, which are measured for each gestation period.
For example, below is one of the documents.

Analyte: HCG, Value: 1968, Unit: mlU/mL

Hi colleages!

This is very easy to setup a FHIR server in InterSystems IRIS for Health.

It could be even one IPM command with this package:

USER>zpm "install fhir-server"

But which FHIR portal could you recommend to use?

I used to work with this one, which is very easy to install too:

USER>zpm "install fhir-portal"

but it doesn't work at the moment and I'm not sure if its main contributors @José Pereira and @Henrique Dias plan to support it.

What do you use? What do you recommend? Ideally installable with IPM package manager. Thanks!

In Episode 8 of Data Points, senior clinical advisor for interoperability at InterSystems @Russ Leftwich joined the podcast to talk about healthcare interoperability standards. In the first part of our two-part interview, Russ tells us about the history of healthcare standards and electronic record-keeping, some of the biggest challenges in the field, and how software has evolved to meet those ever-growing challenges.

Hello again everyone.

In our previous article we saw how to configure our EMPI to receive FHIR messages. To do this we installed the FHIR Adapter that InterSystems made available to us that configured a REST endpoint to which we could send our FHIR message. We would then get the message and transform it to a %String that we would send via TCP to the output of our EMPI configured in our HSPIDATA namespace.

Alright, it's time to see how we retrieve the message, transform it back to a %DynamicObject and parse it to the class used by the EMPI to store the information.

Hey Community,

We are really looking for your feedback on a new offering - InterSystems FHIR Transformation Service.
It went live on AWS Marketplace where you can try it for free!

We launched a related challenge on GM where you can get points for giving it a try and a "thank you" prize to everyone who leaves feedback in comments to this post.

Hi community,

I´ve setup a local FHIR server via the framework functionality und set a service config name for the created endpoint since I plan to use a production based FHIR server. I´ve created an additional ressource "FhirClientRessource" and role "FhirClientRole" as well as a user named "FhirClient". The Role resource "FhirClientRessource" ist set as "required resource" in the FHIR server configuration page. The user "FhirClient" is member of the Role "FhirClientRole" which in turn holds RWU priveliges on the "FhirClientRessources".

In the context of HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), the terms "id" and "identifier" refer to specific elements used for identifying resources within the FHIR data model. For a newbie, these terms can be confusingly similar, but they serve distinct purposes.

Look at the below Patient resource for August T. Faulkner:

The resource has an id of “1” — generated by the FHIR server when the resource was created.
Patient August T. Faulkner also has a identifier (Medical Record Number) — possibly provided by the hospital — of 78510398960
