The last time I used CSP was back in 2008, so I am very rusty on it. This question might have been asked many times, and the answer probably is that it is a matter of preference.
Are there scenarios to which CSP pages is easier/better to use than classes extending from %CSP.Page? I want to build a little thing and don't want to start at the wrong end. Doing an API-based, heavy client-side framework is not a requirement, and I would prefer not to do it that way.
Since SELECT ... FOR UPDATE is implemented in many RDBMS as a method of explicit row lock acquisition, I think there are many cases where this function is used.
This syntax is not an error for InterSystems products, but it does not acquire row locks as expected.
This article will show you how to achieve equivalent functionality.

I have a method in an operation wich return a list of %String (listId). I call it multiple time in a Business Process and want to have all the lists I get put into one. Not having "set context.listIdProcess = callresponse.listId" , but a way to add the elements of listId in context.listIdProcess.
There is an other way than append each element of the list?
If multiple InterSystems products are installed on the same system, the latest version of the InterSystems ODBC driver among the installed products will remain registered in the driver manager.
You can change to any driver by changing the registry entry below.
Please note that running RegFiles.bat does not change the ODBC driver.
I create a class, property OPDT as %Library.DateTime,the class extends %XML.Adaptor,after run " d obj.XMLExportToString(.xml)" OPDT`s value is 2023-11-28T13:57:26,but what i need is 2023-11-28 13:57:26,so is there any solution?
Hello everyone! I need to build something that will receive a REST request. As of now I have tried my luck with using an EnsLib.HTTP.InboundAdapter. But i am not so sure how I am supposed to configure it to be able to receive the REST request together with the JSON body. I have specified the OnProcessInput in the adapter so that it receives a GlobalCharacterStream. However, I have not had any good luck finding out to actually make the request to the EnsLib.HTTP.InboundAdapter.
Within a DTL is it possible to access and update the Message Header properties of an EnsLib.HL7.Message?
Currently we have multiple EMR Services for each environment sending to 1 Business Process to Normalize the data, then it is sent to another Business Process to route the data.
I would like to search for all messages where their body size is greater than 3MB.
I have searched through the common Header and body properties and I have not found a size property. I have looked at the extended properties but I am unsure if any of the extended classes allows me to find the Doc size.
I have stepped through most of the body property classes related to messages or documents that have an exposed property that filters by document or message size.
Is there a way to do this within the Message Viewer or Terminal?
The InterSystems ObjectScript language does not allow you to define methods of the same name with different arguments. It is generally classified as a programming language called a dynamic language.
In ObjectScript, you can freely control which arguments are used when executing a method, so unlike languages such as Java, which are not dynamic programming languages, there is no need to strictly distinguish methods by the number of arguments at the compilation stage.
For volatile tables (tables with many INSERTs and DELETEs), storage for bitmap indexes can become inefficient over time.
For example, suppose that there are thousands of data with the following definition, and the operation of bulk deletion with TRUNCATE TABLE after being retained for a certain period of time is repeatedly performed.
I'm currently trying to setup a SFTP Ensemble production to handle all of my SFTP transactions. It's been going well, but I'm currently running into an issue where it is saying it is unable to exchange encryption keys. Error Below:
Unable to exchange encryption keys [80101005] at Session.cpp:238,0' matched ReplyCodeAction 1 : 'E=R' resulting in Action code R
Any advice on getting around this would be appreciated.
When using InterSystems IRIS as an interoperability engine, we all know and love how easy it is to use the Message Viewer to review message traces and see exactly what's going on in your production. When a system is handling millions of messages per day, you may not know exactly where to begin your investigation though.
Over my years supporting IRIS productions, I often find myself investigating things like...
So last night I was doing a deployment which had a query to select from a large dataset of joined tables, to iterate through and populate data in a new table.
This was done in a classmethod using embedded SQL and the %PARALLEL keyword. On a testing environment with the same dataset, this worked perfectly a few days earlier.
I've this client method in my Zen page which looks good and compile fine:
I first tried calling this clientmethod in %DrawHTML() like : var res=zenPage.getNewPrinters(); but for some reason didn't work not sure why I even tried simplifying my clientMethod with simple code like just showing alert but still this call didn't work
Hi Guys, I'm resending this because I sent on the weekend and looks like it has not been noticed much
I'm not that familiar in using Javascript in Zen pages, so basically we have a priting utility (app) that requires us to add a bit of JavaScript call to facilitate printing from our Zen pages as below:
So I added XData link pasted the required script, is this the correct way?
I'm using the below code to download, extract files in a file directory then save data into a global, and remove the file directory as not needed anymore, but the issue is that the class(%File).RemoveDirectoryTree is not deleting, also tried class(%File).RemoveDirectory and same thing.
If a relationship is set and there is a large number of n in a 1:n ratio, a large amount of memory may be consumed due to sequential processing of the relationship.
After referencing a many-sided object in a program and internally swizzling it, simply releasing the variable containing the OREF (deleting it, setting another value, etc.) will not free the many-sided object and the relationship object. This is the cause.
