Can I connect to Cache using SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)?

Can I connect to Cache using SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) and view schemas and build queries as I do for SQL Server?

If yes, step-by-step instructions for setting up the connection would be greatly appreciated.

I googled the topic but didn't find any results that were on target.

Concatenate columns in results with GROUP BY?

Here is my original query:

SELECT EventType, InitiatedAt, COUNT(*) as cnt
FROM HS_IHE_ATNA_Repository.Aggregation
WHERE EventType = 'LOGIN'

Hi,

Assume an architecture where an ECP Database Server is connected to by one or more ECP Application Servers inside a firewall.The application server hosts the web application that web users connect to.

The Web servers are outside the firewall, and, (using the CSP gateway/server mechanism) issue requests over the SuperServer port and into the application server.

I know that the traffic between the Web Server and the ECP application server can be encrypted using HTTPS, and access to the CSPServer on the Application server is username/password secured.

ERROR - SQL Error '[Cache ODBC][State : S1000][Native Code 29]

I have been using the query below and it was working fine but now it's giving a SQL error. There were no changes made that could cause this to stop working. There is no Field 'APPLICATIONID' in the table.

how to connect to the Cache database from node.js ?

I cannot connect to Cache from node.js

I have installed in Windows 10 the following: CACHE 2016, node.js v 4.4.7 and express .

- where can I get cache.node? The link in the Intersystmes documentation http://globalsdb.org/downloads/ doesn't work. I found cache0100.node and cache0120.node in my Cache instance's \bin directory. But I am not sure if I can use them or not.

- how to install cache.node ? Where do I place it exactly?

Can anyone recommend any tutorial or code example with installation instructions?

creating a UTF8 encoded files

Hello,

When we need to create a utf-8 encoded XML file, we use the Charset property of %XML.Writer:

set writer=##class(%XML.Writer).%New()
set writer.Charset="UTF-8"

How can we create regular txt files with such encoding?

Our Cache Installations are 8 bit and not unicode.

Cache Task Manager Usage and Configuration

I was curious if application partners were developing their own task managers for scheduling background tasks, or using the built in task schedule that is part of the Cache platform.

For those that are using the Cache task manager, what has been your method for distributing default tasks that your application needs during initial install as well as upgrades? Are you distributing an export of the %SYS.Task object, or perhaps you are distributing an installation script that adds a task to the task scheduler when it is first run?

Are there any short ways of serializing COS entity to the string? I am searching for something like .$toJSON() , but I need Caché 2013.* support.

The one way I supposed to work is to use $listbuild:

Is there an opportunity to debug the ISCAgent behaviour (in Linux)? Cache 2010.1 and Office 365 SMTP Relay

Does anyone have any experience with getting, unfortunately, an older version of Cache to authenticate via SMTP to send email? I have verified that the settings are set up properly on the mailbox as I have successfully sent an email from a LAMP server, which comes from the same IP address.

If you have any thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it.

This is the error I receive

How to work out the cause of a STORE error

Hi,

I have a process that is importing lots of data from an external file, but every now and then I come across a STORE error.

I know that the STORE error is occurring in the %Save method of the class but I know very little else and I think its something to do with a lage amounts of Related Objects.

Is there a method of finding out more information regarding this error i.e. which actual object was being saved etc etc.
