Let's say I have two classes: A and B. They share no common parent except %SystemBase. But these classes have some properties with the same name (type may be the same or not):
Class A {
Property data As C;
Property data2;
}
Class B {
Property data As D;
Property data3;
}
I need to automatically convert object of class A into object of class B. I'm planing to write a class generator that generates a separate class that converts A to B. It would work like this:
I have multiple namespaces in a Cache environment say NS1 & NS2. I want to add some restriction so that a routine running in the NS1 should not access any resource(global/routine) belongs to namespace NS2.
The above restriction need for few of the clients only, so we do not want to write any custom logic in code.
We are looking for some solution provided by Cache where we can restrict the namespace access.
Hi All,I got an error when i compile one class. the error was objects of class are (classname) instantiated in 1 processes.how can i recover the problem. my cache instance is Cache 5.0
I wonder if you could help me? I have a regular cache class that accepts a variable number of arguments in one of the methods. It works fine so I decided to add a method to my web service to make the call to the cache class. I get a compile error on the web service with error#5130.
Intersystems is all about name spaces. Each Name space can be mapped to one or more databases and vice versa. In my desktop with intersystems, Can i have DEV , TEST environments pointing to different name spaces at same point of time ? if i am right here, then the DEV environment is nothing but the namespace that we work on....Please let know
How is the security handled in intersystems for GUI and web services testing part ? Does it have inbuilt security handling packages ? what are the limitations ? Please enlighten.
I would like to start a discussion regarding Caché Objects and Caché SQL.
It is my understanding that the creators of Caché Objects see Caché SQL as the reporting arm of Objects and as such SQL is essential to Caché Objects.
I once met a Caché Objects programmer who was writing code to $Order through the Globals because that person thought that Caché SQL was too slow and inefficient. I attempted to convince the person otherwise.
So, what say you? Is SQL essential to Caché Objects?
Hi, I would like to read a row out of an external SQL table and reference the returned results directly from my cache class. I've set up a link table and a SQL gateway connection. but I'm not real sure how to use them in COS. Anyone have examples out there, or some assistance? Thank you.
I need support for my case!! I have 18 GB health care cache Database i face delay with filter and transmit data around 20 - 45 Minutes, I need solution to fixed my issue.
Hello, I've completed this tutorial: https://community.intersystems.com/post/deepsee-period-date-vs-same-peri... I've used the "year" level instead of a pivot variable. I want to calculate something like the following variation: 100 * ([DateOfSale].[PTD] - [DateOfSale].[LYPTD]) / [DateOfSale].[LYPTD] I create a new calculated member, under the same dimmension with the above expression.
I have a REST client that calls a REST service and as a response gets a stream containing a JSON structure. The service is placing some weird non-printable characters into some places in the JSON document that is throwing off parsing of a down-stream XML document.
What I would like to do is just remove the non-printable characters from the response stream that comes back from my call to the REST service.
Does anyone have a handy utility or method for removing all non-printable characters from a character stream?
We are having a problem where sometimes a websocket connection started from a CSP page does not share the same SessionId as the CSP page itself. We are also using ECP and can see that both sessions are often even on different application servers.
We used to have this Java applet in our CSP page to "print all" and "download all" PDF medical reports. We want this applet so that the user won't have to open each PDF in the browser just to print it.
But now most browsers do not support Java applets anymore due to security concerns, so that Java application is down. We tried to migrate to Java Web Start but don't know how to invoke the JNLP file from the CSP page. I am new to Cache so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I setup an account in Cache and when I try to sort the dictionary item in the file by using the command SORT DICT filename, where filename is the name of the file i.e. SORT DICT TEST, I get the following error CMQL: The DICT entry "FIELD.ASSOC_" is not defined
The LISTDICT works correctly. Any thoughts on how to correct this error?
I'm having trouble parsing XML containing unicode characters which I receive from an external webservice. I believe my file is saved properly with UTF-8 encoding but the SAX Parser still throws me an error.
I have 2 classmethods: 1 general one (get) to make a request to a webservice and return the date, and 1 (getSportsPerDate) to make a specific call and then parse the data.
