Currently, I am working on a CSP application that is supposed to generate reports. Users will have varying access to said reports. To achieve that, I plan to use LDAP (because it's used in other systems where those users already exist). Documentation does not provide enough information, so I'd like a clarification:
Do I need to enable LDAP authentication for the whole Cache instance to use LDAP authentication in a single CSP application in that instance?

I am writing a Python tools I want to access the %Monitor.System.License properties:

1. AvailableDist
2. AvailableLocal
3. MaxUsedDist
4. MaxUsedLocal
5. CurrentUsedDist
6. CurrentUsedLocal

Initially I want to develop Objectscript to verify access to the properties. But I can not figure the proper syntax.

I first attempted:

set ans = ##class(%Monitor.System.License).AvailableDist

which failed.

I tried another approach:

set ans = ##CLASS(%Monitor.System.License).%GetParameter("AvailableLocal")

I have a datacombo that displayes value from a db table.

I would like to set one of this value as default value. How can I do that? Is there a way to say selected value given the text or the Id from the DB table?

There is documentation for single dolalr macros but $$$ dollar seems to be referenced on individual pages or not at all.

I am trying to emulate a behavior we used to have on an older Cache' system, namely the ability to call "csession cache" from inside of .bash_profile.

On the older system, passwordless users were allowed, now password is required.

The desired behavior is to have user log into linux and go directly into our cache application, which is character-based.

I have tried this technique, without success:

csession cache < myfile.txt. where myfile.txt contains two lines, username on first line, password on second line.

I have a table with 4 column: MRN (primary key), Name, DOB, and Gender. I want to bring in the values on all of the columns into a DTL. Currently, I declare variables for each of the columns and using 3 select statements.

I am new to Cache, we are trying to move a 4 TB database over the internet, but this will be take too long to copy the single backup file. In Oracle and MS-SQL Server there is an option of doing log shipping. Is there such an option in Cache?

I want to copy the initial backup file one weekend, then keep sending the Journals (logs) the new location.

In general, any tool defends its benefits, and looking at Caché's, among many, there is a lot of talk about speed. The question is, if I already have a database, and at the moment, its performance is not a problem, I would like to know what else could influence the change of this database? Remembering that it is functional and without any apparent problem.

SPOOLER functionality is support in Cache 16?
Previously we are using cache 5,Now we upgraded cache(cache 16).
Is any changes required in SPOOLER set-up (Cache 16)?
