I am looking for experience of people running Veeam with Caché databases.
Tips/Tricks/General questions like; what Veeam features are you using, what your backup cycle looks like, where does your data end up, what recovery/integrity checks you do, what sort of compression/dedupe you get.
Also what questions _you_ have and what problems you might be trying to solve.
From the below code, we are able to import the class file to the namespace ( specified path is C:\temp\distr )
I have a class file and a folder in the above specified path. When i run the code, it is importing only the class file but not the class files present in folder.
I would like to know is there any code to import the class files present in folder as well.
Can we use iknow in the Cache tool means if i don't have deepsee tool to work on like for doing some sample programs. Because i don't have deepsee tool with me?
And is there any open source for downloading deepsee?
In iknow they are mentioning that Japanese words cannot be used for iknow in CRC and in CC, If one needs to use iknow for Japanese character how does concepts and relation works for them?
I only use Caché and CSP, I am making a simple request in CSP page with #call method, and I have to define a callback of this #call method, can I do this?
This is my simple request in CSP page (javascript):
Is there any way to change a class definition (especifically a query definition during the compilation time)? The idea is: I have an abstract class with a parameter where I will define the ROWSPEC of a query and some methods to populate e temporary table The implementation class will override the parameter, specifying the ROWSPEC of this implementation, and the methods will populate the rows in the same format as the ROWSPEC.
Hello! So, my knowledge on the Cache database is extremely limited, and I was hoping I could find some assistance here. I'm connecting to the DB via ODBC. The table(s) I'm interested in are named as such nameYYYYMMDD. So each day, a new table is created with logs. We'd like to grab these records each day, for the previous day's logs.
We need to print html reports, in the server side, to a specific printer that is installed on the Cache Server , and using the Internet explorer that is installed on the Cache Server to do that .
I am trying to send an HTTP request and getting "SSL/TLS error return from SSL_connect()." error (Cache 2013). No modification in SSL/TLS Configuration helped. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Is there a way to omit or skip rollback of some data changes during a transaction rollback? Maybe some sort of "autonomous transaction"?
The issue is with error logging in transaction. For example we may have in nested calls the following structure: TS <some code> <error happens> TRO 1 <error log to database> but if this code is in another transaction, and that rolls back we lose error data.
I need to convert a timestamp from the following format (YYYYMMDDhhmmss e.g. 20160105125915) to UTC time in the same format.
I presume I need to convert it to the system format ( like $HOROLOG ) and then use something like ConvertTimeStampToHorolog or perhaps LocalWithZTIMEZONEtoUTC but not sure of the syntax.
I am looking for ObjectScript implementation of crypt-compatible function, that generates md5 salted hashes (output is in the form of $1$salt$hash). From what I understand it uses its own spin on md5 algorithm:
I need to have both Cache and the Mirroring Arbiter startup when the HP UX system starts. Having not worked on HP UX much I am not familiar with the method for accomplishing this.
I would appreciate any information or even sample scripts that would help resolve this.
I'm having a problem on a sign-up screen, what happens is that this screen is not reloaded after clicking save, and that's where the problem arises, on that screen it is possible to upload images, but as everything is loaded withsubmit, the record would have to be updated so I had all the information, which does not happen.
I'm working on integrating a Cache database into an existing .NET project of mine. I'm trying to execute certain queries utilizing the Cache ODBC driver. The first error I ran into was "[S1000] [Cache ODBC][State : S1000][Native Code 417] Access Denied". The part that's throwing me for a loop though is that the application ran ~200 successful queries before I started getting that. After some of those Access Denied errors, they turned into "[Cache ODBC][State : S1T00][Native Code 450] Request timed out due to user timeout". This was all with the regular (2.5?) driver.
In if condition what is the difference between specifying the single operator and double operator? For example, what is the difference between (&& and &) or (|| and !)
I'm referring to the document Using Cache with JDBC. Using this example, it sets the URL of the object ds of class CacheDataSource.
ds.setURL("jdbc:Cache://127.0.0.1:1972/SAMPLES");
My question is would you just copy and paste the URL from the login page to the string? I tried doing that and it returns an error saying "Invalid log file xyz"
