We are trying to write an external backup application to backup Cache Database. After going through the Cache DB documentation, we have found that in Backup.General class there are methods for creating snapshot (Freeze/Thaw) which is required during backup. Are there REST APIs for the same?
Hi, can anyone tell me how I should do the parameter calculation below in the MSM / MUMPS of Intersystems? STAP SIZE STACK SIZE MAX MODIFIED BUFFERS DISK I / O RATE SLICE COMMANDS PARTITION SIZE BUFFER POOL SIZE
In cache I am looking for a user to, from read prompt, hit control F and be able, from a list, use the up and down arrow and select an item from a list.
User would hit Control-F and then a list would pop up they can up and down arrow through and select it and it return to the read variable
We currently have CSP application that runs under 2 servers(usually primary), and every month the server reboots for patching SERVER1(primary) in the morning and SERVER2(backup) at night.
Whenever the SERVER1 reboots SERVER2 behaves as primary and when SERVER1 comes back up it will act as backup server.
First Patching:
So, when SERVER1 is down, I need to start httpd service for SERVER2 and stop httpd service for SERVER1 (which is now backup server).
I am hoping some of you network guys have ideas. InterSystems seems to be at a standstill. When I startup Studio and try to start Terminal I get License Limit Exceeded. Starting with Terminal and going to Studio, same thing. It started when I put down a 2016 version of Cache on top of a 2015. InterSystems told me to uninstall everything and start fresh. I did that but have the same problems. What can I look at? How do I start to debug this? Although I am the only one on my PC it is really impacting my performance.
When working with a large query executed though an ODBC connection what is the best way to allow the paging of the results at the client side. I have tried some methods using %VID and similar methods, but these really don't seem to work as the value returned is related to the ID of the data and not the position in the results set. What would be ideal is if the value seen in the management portal when you check of "Row Number" was available to external queries through ODBC. I have not seen a way to return this however.
I have an IP address (or hostname) and a port (in this case a super server port #) and I want to try to verify that network communications can be established between the host I'm on and the given hostname and port number of a remote server.
Is there any way pragmatically to do this within Cache?
We had multiple failures because of disk space on cache . IS there a script or tool to monitor disk space used by cache which can used by say patrol and alert us. Thanks for your help in advance. I am looking for something to work on AIX
I've set up a Ens.Alert routing rule and would like to route alerts to different email groups based on business partner or alert group instead of relying on source config using Document.SourceConfigName. Is there a way to reference the business partner or alert group property in a routing rule?
Hello, has anyone tried to use Caché as a reverse proxy ?
We are trying to embed a dashboard server (Plotly Dash in this case, but it could be anything which runs on its application server) inside our application which is written in Caché. The dashboard/report server runs locally (for example, or inside a LAN) on port 8080, and has no authentication features, so we have to implement them on a different layer, and we'd like to use Caché for it.
