REST Documentation Confusion

I had attempted to create a REST Operation before but did not have success. As I am going through the Tutorials and Documentation everything references REST services, but I have a case where I want to create a REST Operation that makes Epic API calls against Interconnect. I have done SOAP operations before and we currently have one in our Production Namespace, but from what I understand SOAP has the wsdl which defines al the structures and etc, where REST does not.

After any installs upgrades we get the following

04/13/23-18:00:00:978 (18668) 0 [Utility.Event] d:\intersystems\healthshare\mgr\enslib\ (Database is readonly)
04/13/23-18:00:00:979 (18668) 0 [Utility.Event] d:\intersystems\healthshare\mgr\hslib\ (Database is readonly)

I think we must have before altered these to not read-only.

Not sure if the isssue is by default

-Running task as user with %ALL rather than SYS user

- Should the dbs be as default in the all backup list

- Should these be not ro so it backs up without error?

Hi:

I don't understand how to use this open exchange item for auto creating deleting items. I think it assumes knowledge in the steps of how to use it which i don't get.

Added the code into dev on SRFT.Utility.DeleteHelper.OnDeleteSuper and SRFT.Utility.DeleteHelper.AddHelper

Hello,

I am new to this forum. So please let me know if this is not the place to post these questions.

I have heard from some previous Intersystems presentations that FHIR profile validation before posting to FHIR server (using $validate) would be available in IRIS for Health. How do I confirm if this functionality is available and if so, on which version of IRIS?

Thanks

I'm pleased to announce the release of version 1.4.4 of the VS Code extension, which contains the following enhancements and bug fixes. Links will take you to the GitHub issue being addressed. As always, if you already have the extension installed, VS Code should automatically update your extension. If you're a new user, use these instructions to get started.

Hi everyone,

I'm creating something to test the Analytics capabilities.

I have a table with 100k records. Consulting the data using ^%G or SELECT, everything is working fine.

But, when I create a Cube using this same class as Source, the Build results in only 1 fact.

I would like to know if anyone else faces the same situation before and have some guidance.

Some details:

Is there any way to change the sql Shell interface to output a <TAB> between the fields instead of outputting one or more spaces between columns

I needed to run an sql ( that took a while to run) and then cut and paste the generated output into excel, trouble was the paste into excel was not very good for columns when there's spaces used between the columns

Hi developers!

We are starting InterSystems AI Programming Contest next week, and according to the rules, you can include some technology IRIS Features into your solutions, which will give you extra points in the voting.

Here are the technology bonuses for InterSystems AI Programming Contest!

1. IntegratedML usage - 2 expert vote points

IntegratedML is a new technology Introduced in InterSystems IRIS which you can use with InterSystems IRIS 2020.2 Advanced Analytics Preview release. IntegratedML:

  • Gives users the ability to create, train, and deploy powerful models from simple SQL syntax without requiring data scientists.
  • Wraps "best of breed" open source and proprietary "AutoML" frameworks including DataRobot.
  • Focuses on easy deployment to IRIS, so you can easily add machine learning to your applications.

Learn more in IntegratedML Resource Guide.

You can use with IntegratedML template.

2. Python Gateway usage - 1 expert vote point

Python Gateway is an addon to InterSystems IRIS which gives you the way to use Python in InterSystems IRIS environment:

  • Execute arbitrary Python code.
  • Seamlessly transfer data from InterSystems IRIS into Python.
  • Build intelligent Interoperability business processes with Python Interoperability Adapter.
  • Save, examine, modify and restore Python context from InterSystems IRIS.

Learn more about Python Gateway.

You can use the Python Gateway template, which includes IntegratedML too.

3. Docker container - 1 expert vote point

The application gets a 'Docker container' bonus if it uses InterSystems IRIS running in a docker container.

Both templates, IntegratedML template and Python Gateway template use docker so you can collect this bonus if you build your solution using these templates.

Or you can use any other Docker-based templates, published on Open Exchange.

Feel free to ask any questions about using the listed technologies.

Good luck in the competition!

Presenter: Kerry Kirkham
Task: Prevent application-to-application interface problems from escalating
Approach: Give examples of using alerts to get the right person working on a problem as soon as possible

Problems with application-to-application interfaces are inevitable but in most cases they can be fixed with little disruption as long as the right person gets to know about it as soon as possible. But delays in attention cause problems to escalate, pressure mounts and business suffers. This session looks at how monitoring and alerting can be set up to recognize problems and get the right person working on the problem in the shortest possible time so that small problems don’t turn into major issues.

Solution: Using alerts to minimize interface problems

A benefit of using Doxygenerate is that Doxygen does more than just HTML output. Tweak the Doxyfile that tells Doxygen what to do and you can easily create a PDF. Our example MARINA application yielded a 524-page PDF. Here's what page 94 looks like:

Introduction

Database performance has become a critical success factor in a modern application environment. Therefore identifying and optimizing the most resource-intensive SQL queries is essential for guaranteeing a smooth user experience and maintaining application stability.

This article will explore a quick approach to analyzing SQL query execution statistics on an InterSystems IRIS instance to identify areas for optimization within a macro-application.

Rather than focusing on real-time monitoring, we will set up a system that collects and analyzes statistics pre-calculated by IRIS once an hour. This approach, while not enabling instantaneous monitoring, offers an excellent compromise between the wealth of data available and the simplicity of implementation.

We will use Grafana for data visualization and analysis, InfluxDB for time series storage, and Telegraf for metrics collection. These tools, recognized for their power and flexibility, will allow us to obtain a clear and exploitable view.

More specifically, we will detail the configuration of Telegraf to retrieve statistics. We will also set up the integration with InfluxDB for data storage and analysis, and create customized dashboards in Grafana. This will help us quickly identify queries requiring special attention.

To facilitate the orchestration and deployment of these various components, we will employ Docker.

The rise of Big Data projects, real-time self-service analytics, online query services, and social networks, among others, have enabled scenarios for massive and high-performance data queries. In response to this challenge, MPP (massively parallel processing database) technology was created, and it quickly established itself. Among the open-source MPP options, Presto (https://prestodb.io/) is the best-known option. It originated in Facebook and was utilized for data analytics, but later became open-sourced.
